00:00The grass is green, the sun is shining, and that can only mean one thing.
00:04It's a Golf Monthly testing day.
00:06This year, we were at Tandridge Golf Club, a Harry Colt design located not far from London in the stunning
00:11Surrey countryside.
00:13One of Golf Monthly's top 100 courses in the UK and Ireland, it boasts a beautiful traditional clubhouse, a lovely
00:18buzzing atmosphere, and excellent practice facilities.
00:21The Par 70 layout is a fantastic challenge, offering impeccable views and five-star conditioning across the course.
00:27Manicured fairways, fast greens, stunning elevation changes, and postcard scenery.
00:33It ticks every box you could want from an inland course.
00:36Now, while a good day was had by all, it was one for the history books for our very own
00:40Johnny Lee Field.
00:41Despite his somewhat suspect post-shot finishing position, the relative newcomer to the game has been grinding, demonstrated nicely by
00:49some fine work around the greens.
00:51Well, with a par putt from distance, dropping on the last, he was in with a sniff for the title.
00:58Look what it means.
01:01Now, with Johnny awaiting the results of bated breath, the monthly team were treated to glorious sunshine and some crispy
01:06cold ones.
01:07Overlooking the putting green, there he is again.
01:10Before tucking into what has to be one of the finest carveries in the country.
01:15Three meats, all the trimmings, what more could you want after a hard four 18 holes?
01:20What about this for a view?
01:24No carvery is complete without a dessert spread, and once again the catering tee pulled out all of the stops
01:29to conclude what was a fine day's golf.
01:33Have you ever seen a happier man?
