00:01British Health Minister Wes Streeting resigned as Britain's Health Minister on Thursday,
00:06saying he had lost confidence in Prime Minister Keir Starmer's leadership.
00:11Starmer has faced mounting pressure to outline his future plans after Labour Party suffered
00:16heavy losses in last week's local elections.
00:19In his resignation letter, Streeting said it was clear Starmer would not lead Labour
00:24Party into the next general election.
00:26He added that Labour lawmakers and unions would want a discussion on the party's future,
00:31but stopped short of formally launching a leadership challenge against Starmer.
00:36Angela Rayner, a former deputy to Starmer, said she had been cleared of deliberate wrongdoing
00:41over her tax affairs, but declined to say whether she would challenge the Prime Minister's
00:46leadership.
00:47While no formal leadership contest has been triggered, the political uncertainty has pushed
00:52borrowing costs higher amid investor concerns over the possibility of a more left-wing Labour
