00:00Look, I agree with the President that Iran should not have a nuclear weapon.
00:03We're obviously engaged in a very aggressive and very engaged diplomatic process
00:07to try to ensure that that doesn't happen, and the President has a lot of options.
00:11As he said repeatedly, there are options diplomatically, there are options on the military side,
00:15but the fundamental goal here is the President wants to make the world safe,
00:19but particularly the American people safe, from Iran having a nuclear weapon.
00:23And one final point I'll say on that is,
00:25is nuclear proliferation is one of those challenges that people don't realize
00:30it's the biggest threat to America's national security, and it's not obvious until it is.
00:35Because what happens if Iran gets a nuclear weapon?
00:38Then multiple Gulf Arab countries are going to want to get a nuclear weapon.
00:41Then multiple countries from there are going to want to get a nuclear weapon.
00:44The goal of preventing nuclear proliferation is probably the single most important thing that we can do
00:50to keep our people safe for the long term.
00:52It's absolutely a worthy goal.
00:54But, of course, the President and I and the entire team,
00:56we care about the American people's financial situations.
00:59It's one of the reasons why we passed the working families tax cut.
01:02It's one of the reasons why we're so focused on fraud.
01:04We care about how the American people are doing economically.
01:07We've also got a number of other challenges.
01:09Of course, the President has to confront all these challenges simultaneously.
01:12Do a lot of other challenges with the U.S. country.
01:13The U.S. country.
01:13The U.S. country.
01:13The U.S. country.
01:14The U.S. country.
