00:03Good afternoon Pep. Hope you're well. Crystal Palace next. Good team. What are the dangers? What are the challenges your
00:11team will face tomorrow evening?
00:13Always have been a good morning. It's always been a tough game since Patrick Rivera, Roy Hudson especially and now
00:25Oliver.
00:29They have a final, European final, so maybe struggling a little bit in the Premier League with a lot of
00:35changes.
00:37The manager is leaving announced from a long time ago and maybe they were not consistent but the quality is
00:43there.
00:44The pattern is there and yeah, next one.
00:49You mentioned Oliver. Just some of his contribution to that football club and what he's brought to the Premier League
00:56because it's been brilliant, hasn't it?
00:58Well, Germany make an incredible job and experienced manager and no doubts.
01:03So, top team with, you know, we had in the past with Olizé, Matita, with Zé, Warton, with Mark.
01:13So, Munoz, the clearance pattern is really, really good. Tough to beat and always have been. But still, we are
01:21there.
01:23In terms of pressure, where is the pressure now with results, how they've gone?
01:28Is it up here? Is it down there? Is there no pressure on you guys? Is it just a case
01:33of doing what you need to do?
01:34The same one that two days, three days, four days ago, one week, two weeks, same one.
01:40Hi, Pep. Western manager Nuno said on Sunday the rules have changed regarding what goes on in the box and
01:48says everyone feels confused.
01:50Are you clear on what the rules are in the box at the moment?
01:54He's not the right person to ask to me. What he said is said in the past, so it's a
02:00question for the referees, for what they decide, not me.
02:06It seems like VAR has taken the genuine emotion away from the game, where fans are having to wait for
02:13the celebrations, a goal might be taken away.
02:16How does football get that authenticity back?
02:19VAR has not installed that last weekend, so it's already for many years here. We adapt, we know it and
02:23everybody knows it.
02:26Hi, Pep. You mentioned Crystal Palace's European final. They've still got to play. That's a few days after they play
02:32Arsenal on the last day of the season.
02:34Are you concerned at all that they may play a weakened team in that game, and if so, is that
02:38their right to do so?
02:39No, they are so professional, the teams. Crystal Palace will play top against us. We saw Leeds yesterday against the
02:47Spurs,
02:47how even being out of the relegation battle, so they are in Premier League again, how they compete.
02:54We played here against Aston Villa in the past, nothing to play, and it was how difficult it was.
02:59So I'm pretty sure they will do the best, knowing that, of course, they have the final three days later.
03:04Can I ask you about Mark Gay as well? You bought him from Crystal Palace a few months ago.
03:09What has impressed you most about him, working with him every day?
03:12I said one week later since he arrived. It's an incredible sign.
03:20His focus in every single detail in the game, in his private life, to be a professional is an unbelievable
03:25sign for this club.
03:27So we are really pleased with his behaviour, how we accept the bad moments, how we turn around immediately.
03:34That defines the big, big players in the big club. So, and, you know, really pleased.
03:41So, yeah, that's it, many times.
03:47Hi, Pep. Can I just check on Rodri, please?
03:50Better. We'll see training this afternoon. Better.
03:55Okay, and Kucinov, how is he? Better as well.
04:00Yeah, have a tough, tough knock against Beto in Everton. Yeah, he's better.
04:08Any concerns about either of them for the cup final? No, no, no. We arrived good in terms of squad.
04:16Pep, as much as you've got to concentrate on yourselves, obviously you need Arsenal to drop points to win the
04:22Premier League title, that's obvious.
04:24So how does, the way the game ended in the Arsenal match against West Ham, how does that affect the
04:28mood amongst the players?
04:30I didn't see the players. Since yet. Always I give days off.
04:36So how did it affect your mood when you saw the goal?
04:38Crystal Palace.
04:39Crystal Palace.
04:40Crystal Palace.
04:41Crystal Palace.
04:42And thinking what we have to do, to always learn from my career as a manager, that what you cannot
04:47control is forget about it, just to do better.
04:51What we have not done better this season, to arrive in a better position to fight from the Premier League,
04:57that we are still fighting, and Crystal Palace.
05:00We've spoken about Crystal Palace's potential rotation. What about the way you are thinking about the Palace game, given you
05:06have an FA Cup final coming a few days later?
05:09Yeah, it's not a problem for that game. We arrived in four days and a half, but of course after
05:14three days we travelled to London, and after we came back to Bournemouth.
05:18So of course three days, three days, I have to think about it, yeah.
05:32I think there was a game against Palace last season, and afterwards Oliver Glasner was talking about high-intensity sprints.
05:40Because...
05:41Because the...
