00:00First of all, the big story with the Patriots, obviously, is the Rossini-Vrabel thing.
00:06How is that playing out, to your knowledge, down there in Foxborough?
00:11Is it an issue at all?
00:12Not, at least so far.
00:15I've talked to some guys, both on and off the record,
00:18and while they understand that it's a story, it's not within the building.
00:23It doesn't seem to be much of a story, at least at this point.
00:26Vrabel was on the field working with guys on Saturday when we were down there.
00:31He was bouncing back and forth between position groups
00:35and working with a handful of guys on both sides of the ball.
00:39Look, right now, I don't think it's much of a story.
00:43That being said, if something else comes out, who knows where we're going to go from here.
00:46But at least within the confines of the locker room, talking to the players,
00:50they don't see it as much of a story, at least at this point.
00:52Yeah, I wouldn't guess that the players were overly concerned about an extramarital affair.
00:58But news is going to continue to come out.
01:01And we were talking to Bert about this, is that people are going to go,
01:06oh, yeah, I took a picture with Vrabel in 1992.
01:09And I wonder if Diana Rossini was in it.
01:12And stuff's going to come out.
01:14And Diana Rossini's a real wild card in this,
01:16because if she comes out and starts doing interviews, this brings us all up.
01:20So I'm fairly confident that when the season begins and the end of the summer
01:28and the preseason begins, that this is still going to be a story.
01:34How long as a beat writer, your job is different, does this whole thing,
01:40if information keeps coming out, how long does that become a factor for you as a beat writer,
01:46you know, dealing with the team?
01:48If something new comes up, if something extraordinary, you talked about the pictures.
01:54Oh, you know, I think that we've reached a point where we're going to continue to get,
02:00like you said, you know, someone took a picture with Vrabel in 1992,
02:02and that's going to pop up and that's going to be a conversation.
02:05I don't think that's necessarily going to alter the course of what's going on.
02:11I think, and just, I don't think this is possible, but if something else comes up,
02:17it might be out of the ordinary, like text messages or something like that,
02:19that might be incriminating to Vrabel, Rossini, the team, you know, whatever the case may be.
02:25If they take it to that level, then I think things would change dramatically.
02:30But if we're just going to continue to see dribs and drabs of photos of Vrabel,
02:34you know, buying his wife a sweatshirt in the airport or, you know,
02:38Mike and Diana renting a boat in Tennessee,
02:41I think that, you know, Vrabel's job is secure at this point.
