00:28Sei nervoso?
00:30No, no
00:31Io credo che tutto quello che faccio è speciale
00:34Ovviamente come una persona crescita
00:36Zenith ha fatto questo qualche volta
00:37Io non ho mai pensato che sarei qui
00:42facendo questo
00:43È un'interessante cosa che ho spiegato
00:46Ho visto da quando ero un figlio
00:48Ovviamente quando ero un figlio
00:50Eurovision era quasi un po'
00:53La parola è una parola inglese
00:56È un'interessante
00:57È un'interessante
00:57È un'interessante
01:05È un'interessante
01:05È un'interessante
01:06È un'interessante
01:46È un'interessante
02:05È un'interessante
02:06È un'interessante
02:19È un'interessante
02:35La differenza
02:36I think people have a different relationship with music in general, you know, obviously
02:41people get music on their phones.
02:42When I was a kid, you went to a shop, you relied on the guy who worked in the shop,
02:49he was
02:49cool, he was older, he knew what was cool, you know, all through my brothers, you know,
02:55my older brother was a real fan of music, so I would hear music coming from his bedroom
03:02and be like, oh, what's this, you know.
03:03And I think that I firmly believe that music and context are always important.
03:14Why you do something is almost as important as what you're doing.
03:19So you know, you can say it's about the performance, or it's about the energy of the performance.
03:28I think everything matters.
03:30You know, if you look at why does somebody become a star, sometimes it's luck, sometimes
03:36it's the music or the voice or the character of the person when you're charismatic.
03:41But to stay a star, I think it has to change all the time.
03:47Your relationship with what you do has to grow.
03:51Exactly.
03:51You know, so when you ask me if I'm nervous, I used to get really nervous.
03:56like I would bring so much anxiety to everything I did, you know, but I think through my sort
04:02of spiritual practices and through just getting older and smarter, I realized that anxiety doesn't
04:10help with performance.
04:11You know, positivity is the only thing that works.
04:15Yeah.
04:19Yeah.
04:20It's a journey that you've invented, that you've invented for the public of Eurovision.
04:29Tanti pyro, tanti effetti.
04:32Ecco, qual è l'idea che sta dietro per questi tre minuti?
04:38Ma sicuramente di portare tantissima allegria, tantissima leggerezza, che non vuol dire superficialità,
04:45che vuol dire consapevolezza, divertimento assicurato, poi tanto glam.
05:09In due mesi, you will perform in Milano.
05:14You will sing Superstar with...
05:17Oh my God.
05:17You know, it'd be great, especially with a live band.
05:19I mean, I have a fucking great band.
05:21It's a beautiful concert.
05:23I was very impressed.
05:25The people get so much fun.
05:27Everybody was standing and, you know, enjoy the show.
05:31And I was very, yeah, surprised.
05:34Not because, I mean, I knew Boy George and the band and the songs,
05:38but everything is so fresh, so beautiful.
05:41So, believe me, I think in Milano would be unbelievable amazing.
05:46And I really hope to be invited, you know, even as like, you know, as a guest or...
05:51I want to know if he's for you an iconic artist of Eurovision,
06:00of the history of Eurovision.
06:02Oh.
06:02One for you and one for you.
06:03One of my favourite singers from the 60s was Sandy Shaw.
06:07Ah.
06:08Who won...
06:08I know her now.
06:09She's a Buddhist.
06:10So, she's, you know, she's a fellow Buddhist like me.
06:13I go to her meetings.
06:14She takes Buddhist meetings.
06:16It's so crazy.
06:17Oh, really?
06:17She doesn't sing so much now, but...
06:19The first time I went on TV, I wore no shoes because of Sandy Shaw.
06:24So, that was my tribute to Sandy because...
06:27Sweet.
06:28Everyone's like, why were you wearing no shoes?
06:29I said, because Sandy Shaw was on TV in the 60s with no shoes on.
06:34Wow.
06:35And when I told her that, she laughed her head off, you know.
06:38I sang with Albano.
06:39Yeah.
06:40I sang with him.
06:41You sang with Albano?
06:42And Massimo El Ranieri too.
06:43Ah.
06:44Massimo, two times.
06:45In Eurovision, right?
06:47Two times.
06:48I sang with both of them in...
06:50Funny because obviously I can sing a little bit in Italian
06:52and what's funny about Italian is if you sing a little bit,
06:56they think you speak and I'm like, no!
06:58I understand a lot.
07:00But he sings very good in Italian.
07:02You know that?
07:03Yeah.
07:04Which song?
07:05Yeah, Io che non vivo.
07:07Yeah, yeah.
07:08Io che non vivo.
07:09Siamo qui, noi il sole come una sera.
07:17Senti come la canta.
07:18Ma tu sei più triste.
07:21Ed io lo so perché...
07:25My dreams to become...
07:27Yeah, but you will in one second.
07:29To learn Italian.
07:31Super really one second, yeah.
07:31Super really one second, yeah.
07:32Okay.
07:33Thank you very much.
07:34Thank you.
07:34Grazie.
07:35Thank you.
07:35Grazie.
07:36Thank you.
07:36Grazie.
07:37Grazie.
07:38Grazie.
07:39Grazie.
07:40Grazie.
