00:00Honourable Prime Minister Sridharendra Mohdiji yesterday gave a very clarion call to the
00:05entire country.
00:08We are living in very turbulent times.
00:14For no fault of ours, for a war which is there between two different countries in our
00:21neighbourhood, the entire world is getting affected by it.
00:24And of course we are also affected by it because we have a large energy import infrastructure
00:32which has to be met through our foreign currency reserves.
00:37So that's why our Prime Minister has given this clarion call that despite this turbulence
00:43in the entire world, so far we have been able to manage it so well.
00:49We have seen many other countries, for example our neighbours, where the petrol and diesel
00:56prices have short hugely.
00:58There are other many countries where emergency has been proclaimed, energy emergency has been
01:05proclaimed.
01:06We have seen in other countries where the prices have gone up significantly.
01:11But we have been able to maintain it so far because of the very well thought through policies
01:18policies that our government and our Prime Minister have executed so far.
01:23But since the war is now still going on and yesterday's developments we all know that truce
01:31is still far away looking kind of difficult.
01:37So that's why it's very important that we as citizens also play our role in this entire effort.
01:43We as citizens, as our Prime Minister has asked all of us to, can reduce our expenditure on everything
01:54that requires foreign exchange to be spent.
01:59And in our lives, in our own ways of working, we can identify whatever we can do to preserve
02:09the foreign exchange.
02:11Simultaneously we must also earn the foreign exchange more and more.
02:15Both things have to go in parallel.
02:17So I'll request all of you to take cognizance of honourable Prime Minister's call to the nation
02:26and within your own means, within your own enterprises, within your own businesses,
02:32try to do whatever best you can.
