00:00Hey everyone, it's Sharona from Pay Your Awaits and today I'm going to be reviewing and recapping Euphoria Season 3,
00:05Episode 2, America My Dream.
00:08Alright, this is probably, I really like the subject matter of this episode, especially as somebody who just really fell
00:15for the American dream,
00:17who fell for this whole idea that you go to college, you get good grades and you work hard and
00:22you get a job
00:22and as long as you do what you're supposed to do and you go above and beyond and you sacrifice
00:26your personal life
00:27that all these things are going to happen to you, all these good things, these promotions and more money and
00:32this and that
00:33and that is a lie, that is a lie. If you guys are young watching this, don't listen to me,
00:38okay, I'm a little jaded
00:39but to be honest, you might want to listen to me because it's a lie, don't let them, don't, don't,
00:43don't let them lie to you
00:45because they're going to lie to you, they're going to lie to you, don't fall for it because I fell
00:49for it, alright.
00:51So, we see that Alexa Demi, she gets more screen time this episode with Maddie
00:56and honestly, I really hope that they keep this up because I just felt like she's deserved something meatier
01:00since seasons one and two and I really hope that season three is going to do what needs to be
01:05done
01:05but we see that she walks into that restaurant and she said, you know what, I am a child of
01:10immigrants, okay,
01:10I believe in capitalism, I'm going to do what needs to be done, you're not going to get no HR
01:14complaints out of me
01:15because I'm going to be a hard worker, honey, I'm not going to be entitled like the rest of the
01:19people in my generation,
01:20that's not going to be me, sweetheart, so you need to go ahead and hire me
01:24and then she did that actual thing, the lady, the talent manager's phone rang
01:27and then she answered the phone like she was her receptionist, I said, I know that's right, Maddie,
01:31you better go, go get it, what they say, pull them up by the bootstraps,
01:35I see her making use of her American dream, alright, now, I like that we have all of our characters
01:42in Hollywood
01:43because as somebody who works in Hollywood in some way, shape or form,
01:47I just feel like a lot of people think because you have, you are, you have access to people with
01:51money
01:51that you are making money and that's just absolutely not true
01:54and so I really like that we get to see Maddie's journey as somebody who starts as an assistant to
01:59a talent manager
01:59because that's something that Maddie wants to do herself
02:02and then we even see her find a young woman by the name of Caitlin
02:06who she sees on social media, she meets up with her
02:09and she kind of like, you know, she kind of gets her together like, hey, this is what you should
02:13be doing on social
02:13I thought it was really funny when Caitlin was leaving and her mom was like, what if something happens to
02:18you
02:18and she was like, I'm young, nothing's gonna happen to me
02:21and I was like, now girl, that, that's not how the pandemic went
02:24but, okay girl, like, I'm glad everything worked out for you
02:29but I like this whole idea that just when things felt like they were going in this right place
02:33you know, the pandemic happened and everything shut down
02:36and that's kind of something that similarly, I don't know why I struggle with saying that word
02:42but that's what happened to me, like, I had my first interview where they flew me out
02:46I got flewed out and I was talking to Samuel L. Jackson and Nia Long and Anthony Mackie
02:52and I was like, mama, I made it, like, my life's been to turn around
02:55I was supposed to meet Beyonce mama at an event in Atlanta
02:59and then the whole world shut down
03:01and it, it was a long time before I got flewed out ever again, alright
03:06and so I was really, like, this was really speaking to me
03:09I actually really like this episode minus some of the dialogue that happens in this episode
03:14but I like that they showed how the pandemic
03:17and I will say the pandemic was kind of a blessing in disguise
03:20because virtual interviews happen and that's how I was able to, like, you know
03:24do the things that I do now
03:25but I was really able to, like, relate and resonate, you know
03:29with feeling like you're almost there and then something like this happening
03:33and just really changing the world as we know it
03:36so she finds the girl Caitlyn
03:38and so she, I like how we see this progression of her being like
03:41oh, you just take sexy pictures and post these things
03:44and, you know, you have to have a moral code
03:46so we're just, you're not gonna be nude
03:48we're gonna imply nudity, right?
03:50You know, we're gonna just have the pants a little low
03:53or, you know, we're gonna have your legs spread
03:55but you still have on underwear
03:57you see how the line keeps moving, right?
04:01What is morally acceptable?
04:03You know, what is nudity?
04:04Oh, you're just showing your feet
04:06Now, y'all, y'all heard Maddie talk about the feet, okay?
04:09Now, y'all know I've been going back and forth
04:11if I need to do a feet only, fans
04:13and I felt like, was that a sign?
04:15That wasn't a sign, what is it?
04:17But is it a sign?
04:18Because if it is a sign, let me know
04:20because I got some bills that need to be paid
04:22but yeah, I like how you see this back and forth
04:26with her constantly, like, edging her
04:28nudging her little by little
04:30to kind of, like, not sell your soul
04:32but really sell your soul
04:33or your morals of what you think is socially acceptable
04:37and so, you know, it turned into, like, get these pictures
04:40these are, like, the most racy set of pictures yet
04:43I like how we see all of this
04:46and we see that Maddie's, you know, having a tough time
04:48her mother, you know, her salon had to close
04:51during the pandemic
04:51and so not only is she trying to survive out in California
04:54she's also trying to send money, you know
04:57to her mom at the same time
04:59trying to make sure she keeps her salon afloat back home
05:02and so, um, we see that she's living the dream
05:06but a part of the American dream
05:08you get this hustle
05:09but sometimes you feel like you're constantly underwater
05:12and no matter how much you keep climbing and climbing
05:14to get out, the more money you make
05:16the more expenses that you have
05:17like, you're just never actually able to get out
05:19of the hamster wheel
05:20and so, that's why I really liked, you know
05:23this whole thing
05:24and especially seeing how, you know
05:26people reacted to OnlyFans, right
05:27um, her manager ends up finding out
05:30about her having a side client
05:32just because, you know
05:34her boss manages Dylan Reed
05:36and then she had her, him meet up with Caitlyn
05:38and so then that got the paparazzi
05:40and you saw that they call it a porn star
05:42and all she doing is showing her feet in some photos
05:44like, go ahead and do what you gotta do, Caitlyn
05:46I saw Caitlyn with that $700,000 check though
05:49in one month
05:50in one month
05:52Lord, I see what you're doing for others
05:54if you need to do it for me, do it

05:58now, she's lucky she didn't get fired
06:00because technically, like
06:01how are you managing someone
06:03like, you didn't tell me
06:04and people are assuming
06:05because you work for me
06:06that somehow they're a part of my roster
06:09and I can see, like
06:10why her boss was upset
06:11she was on the wrong side of history
06:13because she really could have been
06:14making a good commission
06:15because $70,000 in one month
06:17yes, honey, okay
06:19and I think that's even like now
06:21how people judge
06:22people that are on OnlyFans
06:24and how they use that
06:26to stop them from trying to get employment
06:27and a lot of times
06:28like when people see
06:30other people making a lot of money
06:32they try to put obstacles in their way
06:34to stop them from being able to make that money
06:36and I just like how we saw
06:38how her boss judged her
06:41but then you see a year later
06:42now this girl is making $700,000 a month
06:44and then because Maddie's boss
06:45wasn't able to see the vision
06:47Maddie lost out on money as well
06:49and sometimes
06:51Maddie needs to know the discernment
06:52or sometimes you gotta bet on yourself
06:54and that's a really hard decision to make
06:56because at least with this lady
06:57she has eight star talent
06:59and she has a steady job
07:01and you just know that
07:02hey, people are gonna respect this
07:03but it's so hard to bet on yourself
07:06and I know Maddie was kicking herself
07:07like dang
07:08if I would've just bet on myself
07:09a little bit longer
07:10like I would be making dumb money right now
07:12and not bringing in like $800
07:16you know
07:16which ain't even gonna cover the rent
07:18okay
07:18so we see that Maddie
07:20ends up getting a message from Cassie
07:22um
07:23talking about like
07:24hey girl I miss you
07:24let's get lunch
07:25and I said bitch
07:26that's all you gotta say
07:28after taking my man
07:29and you're supposed to be my best friend
07:30and you were banging my man
07:31behind my back
07:34hey girl I miss you
07:35bitch I don't miss you
07:36I hope you burn in hell
07:38that don't even make sense
07:39that's all you had to say to me
07:40so I guess because Cass
07:42because Maddie was like
07:43you know
07:43she saw the little doggy videos
07:45or whatnot
07:46I guess she decided
07:47that she was going to meet up with her
07:49I thought it was really funny
07:50when she was telling Rue
07:52cause Rue's like
07:52girl who are you getting ready
07:54for this meeting for
07:55and then she like does this
07:57and then she's like

08:18this is one of my issues
08:19that I have with this season
08:20and this is one of my issues
08:22just in general
08:23like I feel as though
08:24I understand that
08:25you know
08:26Euphoria
08:26and Sidney's been playing
08:28this character
08:29Cassie for two seasons
08:30and this is kind of like
08:31the Cassie that we've known
08:32but I just feel like
08:34as an actress
08:35like you have evolved now
08:37you do not have to do
08:38this crazy stuff
08:40seeing Cassie
08:40taking these pictures
08:41like desperate for attention
08:43if I gotta see
08:44Sidney's titties
08:45one more time
08:46I just don't understand it
08:47like you don't have to be nude
08:49to do all of this stuff
08:50you see how they were
08:51showing Caitlin's photos
08:52that's it
08:53you ain't gotta do all of that
08:54and I know you're gonna be like
08:55Sharana but that's the storyline
08:56right
08:57women now feel like
08:58they have to sell their body
08:59they have to show titties
09:01they gotta be nude
09:02they gotta do something provocative
09:04to get people
09:05wanting to sign up
09:06honey
09:06I watch a lady
09:07that crushes eggs
09:09with her feet
09:10and she getting paid
09:11and she ain't have to show
09:12no titty to do that
09:13alright
09:14and I think that's a part
09:15of the misconceptions
09:16about what it actually is
09:18to live the American dream
09:19like
09:19do you have to
09:21sell a piece of your soul
09:22to make money
09:23do you have to show your body
09:24to get men
09:25to want to be interested in you
09:27I just think it's interesting
09:28how we're examining
09:29all these things
09:29but I do feel like
09:31for Sydney Sweeney
09:32as an actress
09:33after Euphoria
09:34I understand y'all gotta fulfill
09:35your contracts
09:37but after this
09:38I just
09:39I think it's because
09:41I think nudity is fine
09:42I don't have an issue
09:43with nudity
09:43if it makes sense
09:45I just feel like
09:47a lot of times
09:48when she is nude
09:50I feel like they're
09:52objectifying her
09:53and that is not
09:54necessarily for the art
09:55it's really to just
09:57appease the desires
09:58of men
09:59and that's how I felt

10:01so icky with this whole thing
10:02but maybe that's the point

10:03you have these women
10:05who want to be seen
10:07who want to feel
10:07like they're validated
10:08and they feel like
10:09the only ways
10:09that they can do that
10:10is through their self-worth
10:11through their body
10:12and so you see her
10:13humiliating herself
10:14even though that
10:15baseball photo
10:15I ain't even gonna hold you
10:17I was like
10:17okay I see you
10:18but it's just sad
10:21that like somebody
10:22who lives in this
10:23nice neighborhood
10:24with all these people
10:25with money
10:26you know
10:27her house ugly
10:28so I'm not even gonna say
10:28nice house
10:29because they house ugly as hell
10:30but you see her still
10:32trying to be like
10:33I want to be famous
10:34I want to be so famous
10:35that I want to reach out
10:36to my ex best friend
10:37that I did hella dirty
10:38all these years ago
10:39and I'm going to reach out
10:40to her not to apologize
10:41but really to get advice
10:44and then Maddie
10:44Maddie quickly
10:45picked up on this
10:46I like how Maddie made sure
10:47that she was late to the meeting
10:48to make it seem like
10:50you know
10:50she was out here working
10:51and I think that's another thing too
10:53and I think that's a thing
10:54that I saw
10:54like in the first three episodes
10:56is a lot of people
10:57are envious
10:58of somebody else's life
10:59but you don't know
11:00what's really happening
11:01behind closed doors
11:02people only present
11:03the image
11:04that they want to present
11:05to the world
11:05and I just really wish
11:07that people would stop living
11:08watching other people's lives
11:09and that they would actually
11:11go out and live
11:12because Cassie is doing
11:13all of these things
11:14like telling her like
11:15well you know
11:16all these people
11:17are like always jealous of me
11:18and you know
11:19I see these girls
11:20that are making money
11:21and stuff
11:21and they're not pretty
11:22and she was like
11:23but it's not about that
11:24these girls have promotion
11:25they got personality
11:26they have taste
11:27there's things that they're doing
11:28and people are so quick
11:29to just look like
11:30well why do they have this
11:31and why do they have that
11:33instead of just figuring out
11:34how I'm going to get to the bag
11:35and how I'm going to actually
11:36show the real me
11:38and do that
11:38and you can tell that
11:39through Cassie's video
11:41she's just so desperate
11:42and she's trying anything
11:43to be popular
11:45and what I'm really confused
11:47about is why Nate
11:48is really okay
11:49with all of this
11:49but we'll get into Nate's storyline
11:51after this
11:52but I like that
11:55Maddie kind of got her together
11:57like you're not being yourself
11:58you're a big fish
11:59in a small pond
12:00because you're out here
12:01with these little
12:02suburban housewives
12:03but here in the city honey
12:05everybody's beautiful
12:06everybody got body
12:08everybody got some
12:09tiggo bitties
12:11you look just like
12:12all the other
12:13blonde hair
12:14blue eyed girls
12:15out here
12:15pretty girls
12:16that are trying to make it
12:17you got to have something
12:18that's different
12:19and I just feel like
12:20so many people
12:20are missing this right now
12:21and especially
12:22with social media
12:23and people being able
12:24to make money
12:25on like tiktok
12:26and all of these things
12:26it's like you see
12:28everybody literally
12:29just doing what
12:30everybody else does
12:30it don't be nothing
12:32special to it
12:33it don't be nothing
12:33different
12:34and people wondering like
12:34well why things
12:35aren't working out for me
12:36let me stop preaching
12:37because I feel like

12:46I think Maddie kind of
12:47felt a little bit better

12:54was worth it
12:55and then um
12:56we see that
12:58later in the episode

13:06and you really chose wrong
13:07but I hopefully
13:10you learn this sooner
13:11rather than later
13:12I pray that you learn this

13:14but in the world of euphoria
13:16I doubt that that's
13:16actually going to happen
13:17and so we see that
13:19um
13:20we see that they have
13:21this party
13:22and then she talks
13:23to her little best friend
13:24who is not her friend
13:25she's not your friend
13:26she doesn't like you
13:27everything you tell her
13:28she go right back
13:29to her husband
13:30to tell him
13:31and it's crazy
13:32because she showed
13:33her the pictures
13:33which I was like

13:36why in your mind
13:37you think this is normal
13:38and you think
13:39that this is okay
13:40but even she was like
13:41girl why are you
13:42a baby
13:43why are you just like

17:13as a reason
17:14why he might be
17:14slurring his words
17:16but honestly
17:17I had to give it up
17:18to the Lord
17:18because I'm sure
17:19whatever conversations
17:20that Eric had
17:21with Sam
17:21like that was a
17:22conversation that
17:23they both had
17:24in regards to
17:25you know
17:26whatever it took
17:26for him to make
17:27sure that he was
17:28involved in this
17:28season
17:28so then I was just
17:29like you know
17:30what
17:30if he wanted this
17:32as a storyline
17:32and that's a
17:33conversation that
17:34both of them had
17:34and they were
17:35at peace with it
17:36then it's not
17:36for me to say
17:37anything
17:37but I could see
17:38how it might
17:39bother some people
17:41just in regards
17:42to like how
17:44they utilize
17:45like you know
17:46one of his
17:47symptoms from
17:48ALS with his
17:49speech
17:49but it was nice
17:50to see him
17:51I love the charm
17:52that he still had
17:53I like that him
17:54and Nate
17:54you know
17:55are still friends
17:57after Nate
17:57was the one
17:58responsible for
17:58turning him in
17:59and getting him
18:00but he's not
18:01responsible
18:01because honestly
18:02if you weren't

22:26wasn't happy
22:27to see Rue
22:27he was like
22:28wow he hired
22:28a woman like
22:29go figure but
22:30we get our
22:31KC undercover
22:32reunion so I
22:33love seeing them
22:33together probably
22:34not the project
22:35that they thought
22:35that they were
22:36gonna be working
22:36with each other
22:37on this is a
22:38far far cry
22:38from the
22:39Disney channel
22:39all right but
22:41we see that you
22:42know she's working
22:43at the club you
22:44know she like
22:44hoes and it's
22:45naked hoes
22:46everywhere and so
22:47she's okay with
22:48this so I'm just
22:48like Rue actually
22:49things might be
22:50looking up for you
22:51all right so we
22:53see that Rue is
22:55she's kind of
22:55excited about this
22:56job she really
22:57feels like okay I
22:58feel like I'm
22:58living my dream
22:59okay I get to see
23:00titties everywhere I
23:01go and then I'm
23:02selling new drugs
23:02people offering me
23:03drugs like I'm
23:04living the American
23:05dream myself right
23:06now and so she
23:07sees that we
23:09meet one of the
23:09girls Angel who's
23:11played by Priscilla
23:11Delgado and I
23:12thought she did a
23:13really great job
23:14with her performance
23:14in this episode
23:15minus the one thing
23:16that she had to say
23:17but I thought she
23:18did a really
23:18fantastic job so
23:19she plays one of
23:20the girls who was
23:20really close to
23:21Tish and so she's
23:22really been going
23:23through it because
23:23she was just like my
23:24friend wouldn't just
23:25leave me she wouldn't
23:25just stop answering
23:26the phone Alamo keeps
23:27saying like she fell
23:28in love and she's
23:29like at your house
23:30like how does that
23:30make sense so she
23:32knows that someone's
23:32not telling her the
23:33truth okay and so
23:37we learned that in
23:39a conversation
23:41actually no she
23:42actually goes to do
23:43a dance and both
23:44of them was off beat
23:45she was dancing for
23:45some dude Mr.
23:46Rolex and the fact
23:47that she had to ask
23:47him to did you take
23:48a shower today which
23:50I'm just like that's
23:50like my worst fear
23:51because like dudes be
23:52so trifling too and
23:53they just don't
23:54believe in showers
23:54and stuff so the
23:55fact that she had to
23:56ask him that before
23:57she blew him I mean
23:58yeah you should ask
23:58that question but it
24:00was just too much for
24:01me they all off beat
24:02he's snorting drugs
24:03off her nipples it was
24:05just a lot going on
24:05okay so we go to
24:08Rue talking to
24:09Maddie where Maddie
24:09kind of tells um
24:14ready like Maddie
24:15Rue kind of alludes
24:16that she knows about
24:17the whole sugar baby
24:17thing and she tells
24:18her like you know
24:19hey when I'm working
24:20with Uber like I
24:21just have all this
24:21time to think about
24:22like how I haven't
24:23talked to my mom in
24:24two years how Gia
24:25didn't respond to my
24:25text message and how
24:27I'm always thinking
24:27about Rue and she's
24:28like you trying to
24:28get back with Rue
24:29and she's like don't
24:30worry about all of
24:30that but when I'm at
24:31the club you know
24:32everything moving fast
24:33there's a lot
24:33happening and I
24:34feel like I'm in my
24:35bag all right so
24:37it's a lot going on
24:38in the strip club
24:38because we see
24:39Magic who's played
24:40by Rosalia she's in
24:42there she got her
24:43little bedazzled neck
24:43brace and he was
24:44like take that neck
24:45brace off that don't
24:46make no sense and I'm
24:47just like the girl if
24:47the girl neck hurt at
24:48least she came to
24:49work and she trying to
24:50dance she can't dance
24:51in the neck brace
24:51they don't even make
24:52no sense now Rosalia I
24:54don't know why you
24:54needed to like come on
24:55here and play this
24:59character because like
25:00she didn't really like
25:01do that much in the
25:01episode but I guess you
25:03just wanted to like
25:04get to the bag and
25:04say he was on euphoria
25:05I guess that's fine you
25:06know it's okay but like
25:09we see that Alamo is
25:11really upset about this
25:12pig comment like they
25:13called you to end her
25:14ER but the one thing
25:16that stuck with him was
25:17this pig comment because
25:18this man talked about it
25:19the entire episode and he
25:20was just like that's one
25:21of the worst things
25:22somebody can call you and
25:23I was just like so the
25:23other word that that
25:26wasn't that went bad to
25:27you that that didn't
25:29bother you it was the pig
25:30comment that bothered your
25:31spirit okay that's on you
25:33baby that's on you so we
25:37see that Angel still
25:38trying to figure out
25:39where Tish is and she's
25:41still upset but Rune you
25:43know she was kind of
25:44looking at Angel since
25:46like she first came to
25:47the club okay and so you
25:49know Angel was like hey
25:51you know I got some drugs
25:53and then Rune baby let me
25:55tell you something I know
25:56Rune put in that work
25:57honey she was putting it
25:59at work with that she was
26:00putting in some mouth
26:01action on Angel the way
26:03the Angel was screaming
26:04in that little minivan like
26:07whoo they they was
26:08getting it in I said I
26:09know that's right Rune
26:10Rune like she was real
26:11proud of herself too so I
26:12ain't even I ain't even
26:13mad at it all right not
26:14even mad about it so um
26:19we see that Angel is a
26:21hothead she's still upset
26:23um she threw a shoe like
26:25we see this she threw a
26:26shoe at Kadeem's character
26:28his nose was bleeding then
26:31she tried to throw a
26:31shoe at Rune she hit Rune
26:33with the shoe and then
26:34she was like I'm sick of
26:35all you B-A-N words and
26:36then this is when I was
26:37like Sam Sam where the
26:40handcuffs at okay because
26:41like why this just wasn't
26:43needed why did she have to
26:44say the bitch A-N words
26:46that just didn't make no
26:47sense like why it was so
26:50unnecessary you she just
26:51could have called them the
26:52B-word and that would have
26:53been fine and then Rune
26:54said oh so I'm a B and
26:55then when she threw the
26:56shoe and started hitting
26:57around the shoes it would
26:58have been a great scene
26:59but I was so caught up on
27:00why you would make this
27:01girl who is not black say
27:03B-A-N words that I
27:05couldn't even continue on
27:06with the scene I actually
27:08had to pause and take a
27:09break I just this dialogue
27:11like you ain't got nobody
27:12to run this by to be like
27:14hey like maybe you
27:15shouldn't say that or
27:16maybe somebody did say
27:17it and he said I honestly
27:18don't care I said what I
27:19said but no that's not
27:22okay so after I got over
27:25that Rue does end up
27:27telling her what
27:28happened and this is
27:29sends her down an even
27:30crazier spiral she's you
27:32know doing drugs she's
27:34doing taking drinking
27:35alcohol sleeping in the
27:36car like she's angry all
27:38the time and so Rue does
27:40go to Alamo to talk to
27:41him about what's been
27:42going on and she was just
27:43like is there anything we
27:44can do and then he was
27:45like either she can leave
27:47or she can go to rehab
27:49she's like well she can't
27:50afford that and he was
27:51like no I'll pay for it
27:52she's like oh she's kind
27:54of like look at these
27:54look at these uh work
27:56perks okay and so I
27:57thought that was really
27:58nice that he did he
27:59understands like hey it
28:00comes with the business
28:01I get it she can go get
28:04help and get better and
28:05do what she needs to do
28:06and then you just need to
28:07convince her and then of
28:08course anything Angel
28:10gonna do she gonna throw
28:11a shoe she thought
28:12cursing her out because
28:13she definitely is feisty
28:14but I actually did like
28:16her character outside of
28:17what Sam had her saying
28:18I thought Priscilla did
28:19absolutely a great job
28:21and then even how you see
28:22how they handle the whole
28:23intake process I'm sure
28:24this is like some
28:25undercover type of
28:26treatment center but the
28:28way that they just seem
28:29so uninterested it wasn't
28:30like they were just
28:32treating her like another
28:32number and you see how
28:34scared she is and it's
28:36kind of crazy like Ru was
28:37kind of talking to her
28:37like you're making a good
28:38decision I said bitch you
28:39not even sober like I
28:40wish you would ma'am ma'am
28:43who needs to be there
28:44right right there with
28:45Angel talk about you're
28:47making a good decision
28:48girl if you don't go
28:49somewhere and stop effing
28:50playing with me so um
28:53she drops her off
28:54then we see somebody
28:55watching Ru now I
28:56wonder who is watching
28:57her like I don't know
28:59if it's some of Lori's
29:00people or like what's
29:02going on but you know
29:03someone's watching her
29:04but then we also see like
29:05from the trailer that she
29:06kind of gets into some
29:07legal trouble so I don't
29:07know if they're watching
29:08her I don't know what's
29:09going on so um she calls
29:11and tells him like hey I
29:12dropped her off but she's
29:13really scared and he was
29:14like God helps those who
29:16helps themselves and I was
29:17just like I mean okay
29:19whatever so we get to the
29:20end of the episode we go
29:21to Lori's house they get
29:22her back blown out she
29:23really don't look like
29:24she's enjoying it but
29:25she's making all the
29:26noises like she is and
29:27then they hear a commotion
29:28upstairs child Alamone got
29:30so upset that he released
29:33this big old pig in Lori's
29:35house just pooping and
29:36pissing everywhere now why
29:38they told the dog like
29:40shame on you Lieutenant Dan
29:41and the fact that y'all
29:42called this dog Lieutenant Dan
29:44because he was missing one
29:45of his legs like Lieutenant Dan
29:46and Forrest Duck I'm not
29:48gonna hold you that got a
29:49chuckle out of me I thought
29:50that was absolutely funny
29:52but um when Faye was like
29:55I think is that a dinosaur
29:56and I was like I mean it
29:57kind of sounded like it
29:58but Faye a dinosaur girl
29:59be for real when we get
30:01to the end of the episode
30:02we see that Rue goes to
30:03see Jules Jules comes in
30:05wearing her fits body
30:08body in all right and
30:10then she goes to the
30:10penthouse I said now Jules
30:12what you what you doing
30:13with the penthouse huh it
30:15seemed like Mr. Plastic
30:17Surgery man like got her
30:18living a good life so she
30:19I guess he got a penthouse
30:21and then he go back with
30:22his family and so Rue's
30:24like oh I'm trying to you
30:25know she kind of tells her
30:26like hey I'm like
30:27California sober you know
30:28I just drink and smoke a
30:29little weed and you know
30:31but I have a job and I
30:32want to get a place on my
30:33own maybe not a place like
30:34this but and then she
30:35tried to throw a little
30:36shady comment about you
30:38know who it where is he
30:38at with his family and
30:40then because she tried to
30:41make her jealous like well
30:42I don't think my boyfriend
30:43would like that and then
30:46yeah she kind of throws
30:48shade like is are you
30:49doing this because is he
30:50a real boyfriend or is
30:51just a financial
30:52arrangement and then you
30:56know Jules talking about
30:58you know I don't think we
30:59were meant to be
31:00monogamous and that's just
31:01what people say when they
31:01know that they may not
31:02gonna be monogamous even
31:03though they want them to
31:05and then Rue was like
31:07maybe I still got a chance
31:08then and then she's like
31:09you can't just show up and
31:10act like things are okay
31:11and I do like how she
31:12talks about we romanticize
31:14a lot of things in high
31:15school we were romanticized
31:16a lot of things that's
31:17happened when we were
31:18younger um because we
31:19just built all this up in
31:21our minds to be a certain
31:22type of way and that's not
31:23really how it actually was
31:24because Jules and Rue didn't
31:26have this lovey-dovey
31:27relationship they had a
31:28very dysfunctional relationship
31:30in high school and so we
31:32see that Jules says I'm
31:33about to take a bath and
31:33then Rue is like oh I'll
31:35just finish my drink and
31:37head on out and then she
31:37kind of give her a look
31:38like or and then she was
31:40like well she was like
31:42you're not gonna keep me
31:43company and then the
31:44episode goes off so I'm
31:45like go ahead show her
31:47with that mouth do Rue do
31:48what you gotta do minus the
31:51two dialogue things I did
31:53enjoy this episode even
31:54more than the first
31:55episode I just think I'm a
31:56sucker for just this whole
31:58idea of living the
32:00American dream and how you
32:02know you leave school you
32:03go to college and you have
32:04all these like aspirations
32:06hopes and dreams and then
32:07the real world just kind of
32:08shows you what it is um I
32:10liked how we saw that from
32:12different points of views
32:13from Maddie someone who's a
32:14child of immigrants and
32:15really taking you know
32:16control of her life for
32:18someone like Jules who
32:19feels like you know she's
32:21in this relationship because
32:23it affords her the lifestyle
32:24that she wants and Rue you
32:26know working at a strip
32:27club but really being happy
32:29with everything she's
32:29doing I like how we just
32:30see all of these different
32:32backgrounds and Nate being a
32:33scammer and feeling like
32:35he's living this American
32:36dream being this real estate
32:37developer but realizing like
32:38this stuff is a lot harder
32:40than what I thought it was
32:41so overall I like the
32:43episode very annoyed by the
32:45dialogue that was used in
32:46this week's episode but
32:47yeah those are my thoughts
32:48on Euphoria season three
32:50episode two America my
