00:00There is no suspiro en Gaza. There is no suspiro. There is just, there has been an order to take
00:06the eyes away from Gaza.
00:09There has been an order to forget. There is nothing to see. This is what those in power have shouted
00:16at the world.
00:17And most of the world has followed. Most of the world has turned the gaze elsewhere.
00:22But in Gaza, people continue to die. The level of hell, I mean, I know from afar, and I know
00:28a little,
00:29because after 300 of your colleagues were killed, after no one of your colleagues could enter Gaza and report independently,
00:38it's so very difficult to have complete information and analysis. Even the United Nations cannot operate there.
00:45And there is a level of cowardice that is, it's really, it's second only to the criminality of what's happening
00:53in Gaza and the West Bank and in Jerusalem.
00:55And we will regret not to have used this time to act differently and to protect the rights that we
01:03have,
01:03the freedoms that we have in order to protect also another people from extinction.
01:08In the face of an occupation, the International Court of Justice has declared unlawful, plus others.
01:16So the fact that there is an unlawful occupation means that states must not, cannot trade, aid and assist a
01:26state that is committing such wrongful acts.
01:30And therefore, all countries must stop trading with Israel.
01:37And of course, trade of weapons and use materials, nothing can be sold, nothing can be purchased.
01:43And this is the additional part of the obligation of a state in times of genocide.
01:50This painting is really impressive and I knew it. I had seen it before, not in real life.
01:56It's often told as a, as a painting of a war. Not for me, it's really the painting of, of
02:02the destruction of civilian life.
02:04Because there are no armies in this, in this painting.
02:07It's just the destruction, the despair, the suffering of, of women and children and, and the, the, the collapse of
02:18whatever it's public space into private life.
02:21But there is also hope. And this is really, it's incredible how much it resonates with what I've been seeing
02:27over the past three years.
