Elena Rybakina s’est à son tour exprimée sur une éventuelle fronde des joueuses concernant les tournois du Grand Chelem. Présente en conférence de presse avant son entrée en lice au WTA 1000 de Rome, la Kazakhe a évoqué la question d’un possible boycott, déjà soulevée par Aryna Sabalenka ces derniers jours. Sans se montrer catégorique, la double lauréate en Grand Chelem a laissé entendre qu’un mouvement n’était pas à exclure mais a toutefois insisté sur la complexité d’une telle décision.
