00:00hi everyone in this video i will show you how to add superscript in word for references in
00:06microsoft word adding a superscript for a reference software to use for the citations or footnotes can
00:12be done through several quick methods there is a most efficient way to toggle superscript on and
00:17off while you are typing so i have over a reference here you can see that and at the bottom
00:23this is
00:24the reference so i have opened my on screen keyboard for this you need to press the ctrl shift and
00:32this
00:32is the plus sign you need to press all together so press ctrl shift plus equals and and here you
00:40can
00:40see that it has been superscript and similarly if you want to do this you need to select it you
00:49need
00:49to select it and then go to the home tab and in the found here you can see that superscript
00:58click on
00:59that and here it is so you can superscript using the footnote or endnote feature automatic if you
01:06are adding reference that need to correspondence to a list at the bottom of the page so word can
01:12handle the superscripting automatically but this you need to place your cursor where you want the
01:17reference number to appear and then go to the reference tab and then click on the insert footnote
01:25or insert endnote so i'll be selecting insert footnote and then you will see that word will automatically
01:33place a superscript number in your text and move your cursor to the bottom of the page to type the
01:40citation so this is very much pretty simple and easy i hope now you understand how you can add superscript
01:46in word for references if you think this video is helpful please support my channel thanks for watching
