00:00Well, let's head back to the snooker. That third session is finished. Let's get some immediate reaction.
00:05Rob Walker is a broadcaster and the master of ceremonies for World Snooker.
00:10Rob, thanks for joining us on the programme again. It's been a thrilling third session.
00:14What has the atmosphere inside the Crucible been like?
00:18It's been pretty electric so far, and today, interestingly, was the first time that Wu displayed any sign of nerves
00:26when he got his introduction from the crowd. They've really taken to him the way he plays the game,
00:31and he's clearly a very humble guy who's come over to the other side of the world with his dad
00:37at the age of 16 to pursue a dream.
00:39But Murphy started like a steam train this afternoon, taking the first five.
00:44Wu was under massive pressure for the first time, and there have been one or two times this season
00:49where he's had major wobbles when he's held big leads, but crucially for him, he's taken the last three frames,
00:56he has a one-frame advantage tonight, which means they resume with the tightest scoreline we've had
01:04going into the concluding session for the last 12 years.
01:07It's not usually this tight, which means the atmosphere when they come back at 7 o'clock local time
01:13will be absolutely phenomenal.
01:15Rob, it's been a thrilling tournament, a thrilling final.
01:18How do you think the final is going to go, if you can say?
01:23Well, listen, I mean, you pay your money, you take your choice.
01:26It's been incredible from both of them at varying times in this final.
01:31If you put a gun to my head and I had to make a decision,
01:34you would probably say that the experience of Sean Murphy, this is his fifth final.
01:39He has won the title and, interestingly, came from 10-6 down when he beat Matthew Stevens back in 2005.
01:45He's picked up the scars, yes, because he's lost three finals in 2009, 2015 and 2021,
01:50but he's also picked up the silver lady at the same age that Wu Yizze is now,
01:54only a couple of months between them.
01:56It's been a magnificent performance from Wu Yizze.
02:00Never won a match at the Crucible on his previous two years of coming.
02:03I think Murphy's experience might just tell.
02:07However, a lot of people have saying and have been doing for a few years
02:10that Wu Yizze is destined to be a world champion.
02:13If he does get turned over by Murphy tonight, there will be other occasions for him.
02:18He's really shone on the big stage and everyone's enjoyed watching him.
02:23But I think Murphy might just have too much.
02:26He's really shone on the big stage.
