00:00like that for you and are we now seeing the best version of you now we're getting to the
00:04crunch end of the season? Yeah, it felt good. I think I was involved a lot and got a lot
00:12of
00:12touches on the ball. So, of course, I think that helps in performances that you're involved in.
00:19There was that kind of game. I think we played very good football. So, yeah, I think in general
00:24it was a good game. It was a big milestone for you as well, reaching 20 goals for the season,
00:29which is something that all strikers aim for. So, do you feel like you've now achieved what
00:34you were trying to do, reaching that 20 goals? Yeah, I think, of course, you want to score
00:42goals. So, I think to reach that is, of course, a good thing. But the most important things
00:51are coming this month. So, yeah, we'll have to do our job and see where it gets us this month.
01:01Damis? Hi, Victor. There's been so much noise and chat about you throughout this whole season.
01:09Can you give us an insight in what the biggest challenge has been for you both on and off the
01:13pitch so far? The biggest challenge, I think, is to adapt and to come into a new routine in a
01:26new
01:27country because you change everything in your life. And to adapt to that, I think, is what you
01:33have to do quick and to be ready for all the challenges that are coming. But I think that's
01:41the biggest one. Do you listen to any of the criticism? And your form recently, has it given
01:47you extra satisfaction? I think when I score and we win games, it's, of course, a satisfaction
01:56and a great feeling. So, if it gives extra, I don't know. But it's a good feeling.
02:05Guys at the front, John, do you want to go?
02:22Yeah, I think we are in this position now for a reason. We've done very well throughout the season. But,
02:29of course, now, with these games that are coming,
02:32it's when it all comes down to and everything matters to do well in these games, to get us over
02:42the line. So, yeah, it's been incredible so far what we've done, but we have to do it now.
02:49The manager spoke on Friday about the players wanting to define the history of this club.
02:55What does that mean to you as players, that you can become legends, that you can write your names into
02:59the history, that you can do something that's never been done before in this club?
03:05Yeah, of course, it's a great feeling if we can achieve that. But I think to also experience the position
03:14we're in and to play these kind of games is, I think, what we know that we're going to do
03:20right now. And that is great.
03:24In terms of playing with confidence, how much of a boost was it, you getting a hat-trick for Sweden
03:30in the semi-final and then scoring the goal to take your country through to the World Cup?
03:35How much of a lift did that give you? And do you think that's linked to your recent form with
03:40Arsenal?
03:42Yeah, I mean, to do that with your country and to contribute when you're playing for your country and to
03:52get to the World Cup, especially how our qualification was.
03:58I think, yeah, it was incredible and amazing to achieve that and to be part of that. So, of course,
04:06it's great. And I think, yeah, of course, it gives us, or me, a lot of confidence.
04:15And in terms of you scoring 21 goals, I assume you set yourself some sort of target at the start
04:20of the season. Have you gone past that yet, or have you yet to reach your target, if you had
04:27one?
04:30I think, like I said, it's down to these games that are coming. So, I think after that we can
04:37speak about that.
04:40Can I ask you about your penalty taking? It's so, so good. I think it's 27 in a row. What
04:47goes through your mind when you're about to take a penalty?
04:53I just don't try to think too much and, yeah, just put it in the back of the net. So,
04:59that's what goes through my mind.
05:01It's a good tactic. I mean, so far, that's the only goal of the game. This game could go to
05:05penalties. As a squad, have you all been practising penalties today?
05:13No comments.
05:16Hi, Victor. You've got 24 goals and assists this season, but 17 of them have come since the turn of
05:22the year in 2026.
05:23What have you put that down recently, in the last few months, that there's been a real upturn in your
05:28output?
05:31Yeah, I don't know if it's one factor down to answer that question, but I think, yeah, you come into
05:39the group even more.
05:41You get to know the players and, yeah, everything around your life, I think, in general, when you change club.
05:49And, yeah, I think when you get into your routine and everyday work and, of course, on the pitch as
05:57well,
05:58to play together with your teammates game after game, I think, yeah, it's going to become better.
06:06And, yeah, it's done that.
06:09And in the previous game, we saw you link up with Bukayo, who'd been out for a little while and
06:13come back.
06:14How pleasing was it to have him on your right-hand side and providing for you as well?
06:19Yeah, I think he was very good on Saturday and I think, yeah, when he's in that form and he's
06:28playing like he always is,
06:31I think it's, of course, amazing for me and all the other guys to have him on the pitch.
06:36Hi, Victor. I know you said when you were talking about the challenges of adaptation, a lot of that was
06:41off the pitch.
06:41For you, on the pitch, what have been the things you've needed to improve the most to come into the
06:46Premier League and score the goals you have?
06:50I think the most important is to know your role and to adapt to the system we play and then,
06:58I think, just to be myself and be at my best.
07:02And, obviously, due to injuries for the players around you, it's been a lot of chopping and changing in that
07:07front three.
07:08How much of a challenge is it to adapt when, you know, it might be Bukayo one game, nonny the
07:12next, then someone else?
07:14How much of a challenge is that?
07:16Yeah, I don't know. I don't think about that too much. I just go out and try to do my
07:23best when I'm on the pitch and I think if you have a good connection with the players, it doesn't
07:28matter who plays.
07:29Yes, Sam.
07:30Hi, Victor.
07:31Michael earlier in the season spoke about how the players need to adapt to you and you need to adapt
07:35to the players.
07:36Obviously, in the last few months, you've been scoring plenty of goals. How has that improved in the recent weeks
07:41and months?
07:44Yeah, like you said, I think that's the answer also to adapt to how I am as a player on
07:55the pitch and how we as a team want to play and it goes with everyone.
07:59So, yeah, when you just try to play together and to find each other and you know how they work
08:06or how they run or whatever it is, I think it's going to become a good result in the end.
08:12Yeah, it felt good so far.
08:15Your celebration is, of course, an iconic one. Can you just remind us all how that first started and what
08:20it's like to look around the stadium and see everyone doing that celebration?
08:25Yeah, it's incredible when you see people around the stadium doing it and, yeah, it's great to do it also
08:33for myself after a goal.
08:36Hi, Victor. You must have been a bit disappointed not to be selected in the team for the big game
08:42against Manchester City.
08:43A few weeks ago you've responded really well to that, you've had a really good run of four in the
08:47last couple of games.
08:47Do you use those kind of setbacks as a bit of motivation to inspire yourself?
08:53Yeah, I think, of course, you always want to play and especially the big games. So, yeah, for me I
09:02just don't try to think too much about it.
09:04You're ready and when you get your chance to play, you want to prove yourself and do well.
09:11Are you the kind of striker that, you know, you need a bit of confidence and you go on a
09:15run of goalscoring?
09:19You've done that in the past in your career and do you think you can do that now to the
09:22end of the season?
09:24To do what?
09:25To go on a run of goalscoring, you know, score lots of goals in successive games.
09:30Yeah, I think I've done that before, so, yeah, of course I want to do that and I think, yeah,
09:37every player is better when they have confidence.
09:40Gary?
09:40Can I just ask one? Can you just recap on that conversation you had with Mikel and Andrea last summer
09:47when they wanted to sign you about what they wanted from you?
09:50Because obviously it was a season when Arsenal hadn't taken their chances in front of goal and you were the
09:55player who was going to make the difference to that.
09:58So can you just recap that conversation because Mikel has sort of spoken about how he said he wanted a
10:03striker.
10:03If they missed chances, he would kind of just forget about it and kind of carry on.
10:07So he wanted someone who can kind of deal with the pressure and expectation.
10:11Yeah, I think, of course, it's about that in football.
10:16To just keep going no matter what happens.
10:19You have to keep going to go again and again because there's so many games and it's always going to
10:26be challenges throughout the season.
10:29And you have to deal with those the best possible way and to do better the next game.
10:37So, yeah, of course, that's a very important part.
10:39We'll do the last couple on this side.
10:41Good afternoon, Victor, Daniel from Benchviews.
10:43Mikel spoke about how Big Gabby and Saliba spoke about your nightmare in training.
10:49How is it having some of the best centre-backs in the league to learn about what league centre-backs
10:54are like to beat the opponents?
10:57Yeah, I think in training, I don't think you can get any better centre-backs than what we have.
11:04So, yeah, of course, it's great to train with them and to go up against them in training.
11:11So, yeah, it's incredible players and I'm blessed to train with them.
11:18And this weekend you did link up with Bakayo for some really good goals.
11:22How is it where he's been injured and you've been playing a lot so that you guys can't...
11:28Sorry, apologies.
11:29How's it been when players have been shifting in and out of the team
11:33and you've been a player who's new to the team to learn how these players play
11:36and so that you can get the best out of yourself and get the best out of them?
11:41Yeah, like I said before, I think it's about the connection.
11:44I think if you like to play with the others and you enjoy spending time with them as well outside
11:52the pitch,
11:53I think it's going to show on the pitch as well.
11:56And, yeah, I think that's when you play good football, when you enjoy it together.
12:02Hi, Peter. What role will the fans play in a night like this?
12:05And what would you like to share with them?
12:06I also have an encounter that the ticket to the final is going to be playing in London.
12:09For example, last year the second match were in Paris, but now you have the opportunity to get to the
12:14final with your fans.
12:17Say that again, please.
12:19Sorry. Not my best.
12:21What role will the fans play in a night like this?
12:23And what would you like to share with them as to have an encounter that the ticket to the final
12:27is going to play in the Emirates?
12:29For example, last year the second match were in Paris, but now you have the opportunity to get into Budapest
12:34with your fans.
12:35Yeah, of course, it's amazing to play this game at home.
12:40We know what's on stake and, of course, we have an amazing opportunity to have a great game tomorrow and
12:51to enjoy it with the fans.
12:53But, yeah, we have to do it on the pitch and, of course, with their amazing support, I think it
12:59can be a great night.
13:01Hi, Victor, here. What do you expect about the game and what do you think is going to be the
13:07key? Thank you.
13:10I think it's going to be a tough game like it was in Madrid. I think Atletico has a great
13:19team.
13:19They have a lot of quality attacking and we know that there are dangers there.
13:28So, of course, we have to do that part well and then, yeah, do what we are good at when
13:33we have the ball.
13:35Matt. Hi, Victor. Particularly the last couple of matches, obviously, with Kai out, the team have needed you to step
13:40up.
13:41How much do you relish the pressure of being the main man in attack?
13:46Yeah, I mean, I think I played the games before and these kind of moments were, yeah, it's important to
13:56win football matches.
13:59Like when I was with the national team a month ago or so, when, yeah, we had to win the
14:06games to go through the World Cup.
14:07And I think, of course, tomorrow is going to be another massive game and, yeah, I think it's just a
14:14great opportunity and amazing position to have this opportunity.
14:20Hi, Victor. No, Martin Ödegård, on the open training today, how do you think he deal with all the injuries,
14:27the setbacks in such an important period of the season?
14:32I think, of course, he wants to be with the team and available every game, like all the players in
14:41the team.
14:41So, of course, I can imagine it can be frustrating sometimes. I know how he feels myself when I've had
14:48issues.
14:48So, yeah, just try to get back as quick as possible and in good condition. So, and I know he's
14:56trying that when he hasn't been able to be available.
15:02So, yeah, I think it's just a matter of time and I think we all need him on the pitch.
15:11Last one, Mathilde.
15:11Hi, Victor. Just going back to the earlier question about, you know, becoming legends in the club. Obviously, it's 22
15:17years since you guys won the Premier League, 20 years since you've been in a final.
15:21There must be a real sense of, I don't know, excitement or what's the feeling in the dressing room in
15:26terms of being so close to achieving that history?
15:31Yeah, I think it's a good feeling in the dressing room. I think we're all very excited with every game
15:40that's coming now.
15:41So, yeah, it's just to prepare and to show that energy on the pitch.
15:47Cool. We'll end it there. Thank you.
