00:20rides, shows and attractions found at the very unique Genting Skyworlds theme park in Malaysia
00:26for 2024. Stick around until the end of the video for my hot tips for visiting the park as well

00:31a little look into some exciting new additions coming in the near future. The park was announced
00:36in 2013 and was originally going to be called 20th Century Fox World Malaysia, but after Disney's
00:43acquisition of 21st Century Fox and numerous lawsuits, the park was renamed to Genting Skyworlds
00:48but still contains a number of IPs from its original plan before opening in 2022. It is located in the
00:55beautiful Genting Highlands Resort, which is around one hour's drive from Kuala Lumpur, the capital of
01:00Malaysia. The resort also features seven hotels, five shopping malls, a casino, an indoor theme park
01:06and the focus of today's video, Genting Skyworlds. To get to the park, you'll first need to ascend the
01:12mountain aboard the Awana Skyway, a gondola lift system that gives amazing views of the surrounding
01:18area and even gives you a bird's eye view of the park before arriving at the station. The park has
01:23two entrances, one at the Studio Plaza, which is mainly for hotel guests, and the second is on the
01:29other side of the park between Central Park and Liberty Lane. Next up is one of the largest lands
01:35in the park, Ice Age. Being the most popular IP in Genting Skyworlds, this area can get crowded at
01:41times, but it is beautifully themed with lots of characters on display and plenty of fun photo
01:47opportunities. The first attraction you will come to is Ice Age Expedition Thin Ice, another trackless dark
01:53ride with an awesome queue line, pre-show and fun exciting storyline. There are lots of audio
01:58animatronics used throughout the ride that integrate well with various screens, resulting in one of the
02:03best attractions in the park. Next up is Acorn Adventure, the outdoor nut-based roller coaster
02:08that follows Scrant as he searches for the mystery acorn. It includes all the twists and turns you can
02:14expect on a high-speed family coaster, as well as this fun section as you spin around a waterfall.
02:19This is a great ride for all the family to enjoy. The next attraction is Sid's Rock N' Slide, a
02:25classic
02:25rock and tug ride where you join Sid and Diego as the ride vehicle goes from side to side while
02:30spinning
02:31360 degrees. The final attraction in Ice Age is Mammoth Fun Zone, a great outdoor play area filled with
02:38slides, rope bridges, sprouting water geysers and lots of areas for the younger visitors to run and explore.
02:44Finally, you can watch the fantastic show Ice Age Time Warp. As Scrapp discovers a time machine,
02:50he accidentally transports the characters of Ice Age to Genting Skyworld, as Manny, Diego, Sid and a
02:57number of other prehistoric dancing sloths find a way to get back to the Ice Age. I would recommend
03:02arriving 15 to 20 minutes before the showtime to grab a seat. First up is the Blue Sky Carousel,
03:07which is named after the now defunct Blue Sky Studios that produced the Ice Age, Epic and Rio films.
03:14Instead of the classic horses, you can climb aboard a number of different characters from these movies
03:19on this fun two-story carousel, which is perfect for guests of all ages. Fingers crossed that this
03:25park managed to complete these two attractions in the near future. Overall, we had a great time at the
03:30park and although some of the IP seemed like an odd choice, you can see a lot of money was
03:34spent in
03:35creating all the amazing themed lands with Ice Age and Epic being a highlight. The location is really
03:41unique and outstanding, but I wish it was used better throughout the park as a lot of the time
03:46it doesn't feel like you're on top of a 6,000 foot mountain. All the food and merchandise is incredibly
03:51priced and the staff members are friendly and very helpful whenever we had a problem. Tickets are around
