मौसम | Monsoon is Coming Soon! Indian Meteorological Department IMD Heavy Rainfall Forecast | Can India be Soaking Wet in May?  May is usually the peak of the Indian summer!   But this year, the IMD i.e. Indian Meteorological Department, just flipped the script!  We’re looking at an “Above Normal” rainfall forecast!   110% of the usual average! But why?  It’s a perfect storm of cyclonic circulations, literally  -  and moisture-heavy winds from the Bay of Bengal -   Hitting the Northeast and South India simultaneously!  Assam, Meghalaya, and Kerala are the bullseyes!   We’re talking "Heavy to Very Heavy" rainfall -   Wind speeds hitting 60 kmph!  The silver lining?   This pre-monsoon surge is killing the heatwaves in North India -   Bringing much-needed relief to Delhi and Rajasthan!  Is this an early Monsoon? Not quite!   But the Andaman Islands could see the official onset -   As early as May 14th!  Bottom line: Keep your umbrellas handy -   Check for local waterlogging alerts!
