00:00The pictures turned out feminine, but still edgy, and by far, the best Darion campaign we've ever shot.
00:08Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the worst clothing lines created or endorsed by
00:14celebrities.
00:14We'll consider both style and management in our picks.
00:29Doja Cat released a clothing line in 2022 under the moniker It's Giving.
00:34Controversy upon its announced release centered around the pop star stealing the title from an influencer, but that's debatable.
00:40What isn't debatable is that you probably shouldn't order any of these pieces of clothing if you're living in a
00:45northern climate.
00:46What is the clothing line giving, you ask?
00:48Not much coverage and an overall cheap look, though that might be intentional.
00:52With such genius designs as crop tanks emblazoned with the word Yes or It's Giving,
00:57the line provides items to complement these tops in its visible white thongs and jock straps.
01:02Maybe steer away from these when meeting your in-laws for the first time?
01:06Number 19, Lena Dunham for Eleven Honoré.
01:09Lena Dunham.
01:10This one initially had a lot of folks up in arms over the collaboration,
01:13as Eleven Honoré is a luxury plus size clothing line,
01:17and Lena Dunham is reportedly a size 14, which is really borderline plus size.
01:21I love Eleven Honoré.
01:22I love what they're doing, and I just wanted to create a collection.
01:26It's a capsule collection of, you know, five pieces that I loved so much that just express the way that
01:33I love to dress.
01:34The Eleven Honoré brand itself only carries sizes 12 to 24, which also irks some as competing fashion lines go
01:41up to size 40.
01:42The Lena Dunham line itself was lackluster and overall dull, reminiscent of typical shapeless plus size wear found in any
01:48department store.
01:49Contra a mental image of mom's night on the town, and you'll get there.
01:52The controversy remained mostly with the choice of celebrity, however.
01:55Dunham hasn't been one to mince words about her body, and no one appreciated it this time either.
02:00Hey, is that too much of a show-and-tell for the American audience?
02:04Nope.
02:04Oh!
02:05I love it!
02:06I love those details!
02:08Number 18.
02:10Fetish.
02:10Eve.
02:11In 2003, pop star-turned-sitcom actress Eve launched Fetish, a clothing line marketed to contemporary women.
02:17Now I'ma do this thing like it ain't done before.
02:20Never leave the game stranded, I had to give more.
02:23The launch proved successful, albeit perhaps a little too much for her partner and Novo group, which reportedly had issues
02:29fulfilling millions of dollars in orders around release time.
02:32The partnership was severed, and the line was expected to relaunch with a new partner and refocus style in tow.
02:37But Fetish was ultimately discontinued in 2009.
02:40The line itself was fairly typical in appearance, and became sought after for denim and bags more than anything else.
02:46However, in all honesty, it wasn't quite an unseen or innovative style.
02:49Some of y'all ain't writing well, too concerned with fashion.
02:52None of you ain't Giselle, can't walk and imagine.
02:55Number 17.
02:56Skims.
02:57Kim Kardashian.
02:58It started off with simply finding shapewear that was a skin tone that would match my color.
03:04This one is definitely advertised as a huge success, and to be fair, it is raking in the big bucks.
03:09Skims is a line of shapewear that caters to multiple sizes and skin tones, claiming accessibility for everyone.
03:14Everyone who can afford it, that is.
03:16A short venture into some customer reviews reveals the seedy underbelly of this venture.
03:20Reports of horrible service, impossible returns,
03:23flimsy quality, unflattering items, and an overall waste of money.
03:27One review claimed the shapewear is great if you don't intend to move too much, as bunching is excessive.
03:32What you see isn't always what you get.
03:34I am wearing our Skims cotton collection, our leggings that are high-waisted,
03:39which are my favorite style, and then a little black tank top.
03:43Number 16.
03:44Situation Nation.
03:45Mike, the Situation Sorrentino.
03:47You know, I like to look very fresh and mint when I go out, so, you know, everything goes into
03:52it.
03:52You know, you gotta go to the gym the whole week, you know?
03:54You have to have a little color if you didn't go to the beach.
03:56And then, the last thing that you need to take care of is the outfit.
03:59Remember Jersey Shore?
04:01In 2011, Mike, the Situation Sorrentino, threw his hat into the fashion ring.
04:05For anyone who wanted to dress like a dude, we mean an upstanding citizen of the Jersey Shore area.
04:12TMZ pointed out that the merchandise really closely resembled Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville clothing,
04:17which is marketed as casual lifestyle wear.
04:19The line, called Situation Nation, did not leave a lasting mark on couture.
04:23Its former website is now defunct.
04:25However, Mr. The Situation persisted, and you can now purchase your sitch merch on thesituationstore.com,
04:31should you feel inclined to wear tees adorned with such clever sayings as,
04:35gym, tan, laundry, or don't be a chooch.
04:38I could say if it was like, basketball, pool, beach, like, you know what I mean?
04:42Like, gym, tan, and laundry.
04:43Like, those aren't fun things at all.
04:45Number 15.
04:46Vocal.
04:47Nelly.
04:52Vocal launched in 1997 by rapper Nelly.
04:55His cousin, Abayomi Jamil Martin.
04:57And friend, Nick Loftus.
04:59The initial idea behind the line was that big marketing campaigns and logos weren't necessary.
05:03This is reflected in Vocal's first items.
05:06T-shirts promoting Nelly's rap crew, Saint Lunatics, being sold at concerts or out of the trunks of cars.
05:11The brand's sales increased with Nelly's popularity and launched its first official line in 2001.
05:16Following a copyright dispute in 2004, the line shut down in 2007.
05:20Vocal featured mostly, as Martin put it, innovative denim wear and trendy t-shirts.
05:25But Vocal's clothing wasn't anything new.
05:27The women's denim line, apple bottoms, is still alive and kicking.
05:31You can wear them with your boots with the fur.
05:37Number 14.
05:38Emblem.
05:39Mandy Moore.
05:40Something I'm really passionate about.
05:42And I sort of started off with the t-shirts and I'm eternally searching for the perfect t-shirt.
05:47And that's sort of where the idea to start the line came from.
05:50Eternally wholesome Mandy Moore had her own shot at the fashion world with 2005's Emblem line.
05:55It initially consisted of arguably overpriced $50 t-shirts, eventually branching out into other clothing items.
06:01Moore was focused on clothing for taller women, being 5'10 herself.
06:04Down with the design team each season and sort of come up with a different motif and color palette and
06:09bring in a lot of design ideas, whether it be vintage inspiration.
06:13The line was sold in higher end stores, such as Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom.
06:18Without too much detail, the closure was announced in 2009.
06:21Moore implied in interviews that partnership with The Loft Entertainment wasn't quite what she hoped for.
06:25She claimed that she would consider a return to fashion should she have a great partnership that could represent a
06:31true reflection of me and my ideas.
06:33And you know that wasn't happening.
06:38When you think fashion, you immediately think David Hasselhoff, right?
06:51The Malibu Dave fashion line was originally released in 2006, but quickly tanked and disappeared.
06:57It was basically leisurely beachwear, t-shirts, shorts, etc.
07:01In 2022, a post of The Hoff's official Facebook page featured a short interview with Dave stating the inspiration behind
07:07Malibu Dave.
07:08I wanted to do something that's sophisticated and cool, that has kind of a Baywatch beach feel because I'm only
07:1610 minutes from Malibu.
07:17It implies a pending release of the line, as though 2006 never happened.
07:21Dave claims his inspiration lies in the natural, ethereal beauties of nature.
07:25Nah, just kidding.
07:26He just says it's inspired by Malibu, himself, and Baywatch.
07:29Despite this, the line is nowhere to be found.
07:32But you can buy from the Hoff store website, should you need a poster that says, party your Hasselhoff.
07:38Number 12.
07:39Lindsay Lohan for Ungaro
07:41Lindsay Lohan
07:42In 2009, someone decided it was a great idea to give Lindsay Lohan a turn as an artistic advisor for
07:48French fashion great Ungaro.
07:50Did you ever in your wildest dream, Lindsay, think you would be, you know, at the creative helm of a
07:55house like Ungaro?
07:57No.
07:58It was an odd choice, as critics were quick to point out.
08:01The designs failed to impress the fickle fashionista crowd.
08:04Emmanuel Ungaro himself, who had resigned in 2005 and separated from his namesake label,
08:09was quoted as saying that Lohan's collaboration was a disaster and that his former fashion house was losing its soul.
08:15Ouch.
08:15Lohan was a no-show at the second fashion show, and then-CEO Munir Mufarij resigned shortly after the fiasco.
08:23Designs were really lackluster and went against the colors that were fashionable for that particular season.
08:28I'll quote Susie Menges, who's one of my favorite fashion writers.
08:32The Manuel Ungaro show on Sunday may go down in history as the final gasp of celebrity madness.
08:39Number 11.
08:40The Katherine Heigl Collection
08:42Katherine Heigl
08:43In 2007, Katherine Heigl was at the height of her Grey's Anatomy fame and was rapidly becoming something of an
08:48it girl in Hollywood.
08:50In that same year, Heigl released a line of fashionable medical scrubs stating that she wanted to create a line
08:54of scrubs that would allow women to infuse some of their personality and style into their work apparel.
08:59It's a decent idea, and the designs themselves were interesting.
09:02However, it seems the line never really went anywhere, as info is scarce.
09:06Is it perhaps because Heigl's reputation took a massive hit following an incendiary interview with Vanity Fair in 2008?
09:13Maybe.
09:14I am a strong woman, and I'm not going to apologize for that.
09:17Number 10.
09:18Bitten
09:18Sarah Jessica Parker
09:20It shouldn't come as a surprise that Sarah Jessica Parker threw her feathered hat in the fashion ring in 2007.
09:28What did I do?
09:31What did I do?
09:32What did I do?
09:33What did I do?
09:33What did I do?
09:33What did I do?
09:34What did I do?
09:34Sex in the City having ended in 2004 and left its mark on the runaway realm, SJP's fashion line Bitten
09:40was sold in Stephen Barry's, a former retail clothing chain store.
09:44The advantage of the Bitten brand was its affordability, with many items priced around $19.95 and under, thus making
09:51it available to the laypeople.
09:52I loved this philosophy. I loved the idea of quality, affordable clothing for everybody.
10:00The disadvantage was that the line offered nothing new or innovative. It was mostly run-of-the-mill basics, leading
10:06some to wonder if it would have sold at all had it not had a celebrity endorsing it.
10:11Stephen Barry shut down in 2009 and took with it SJP's Bitten.
10:15Number 9.
10:16The Kardashian Collection
10:17The Kardashians
10:18The Kardashians appear more than once on this list, because they are everywhere.
10:23However, being everywhere doesn't mean succeeding everywhere.
10:26In 2011, the family launched its Kardashian Collection.
10:30Collection with a K. How clever.
10:32Partnering with Sears.
10:33To be able to have a clothing line that is so stylish, but have it be so affordable, that's like
10:38a dream come true for us.
10:39The problems with the line were a-plenty, including allegations of foreign sweatshop manufacturing, rapidly dwindling sales resulting in hefty
10:46in-store liquidations, and cheaply made clothes that drew comparison to inexpensive Halloween costumes.
10:51Us lowly folks can spot a rip-off a mile away.
10:55The line went defunct in 2015.
10:57The trio of Khloe, Kourtney, and Kim's previous 2006 venture, Dash Clothing, permanently shut its doors in 2018.
11:03There's no way to salvage any of this.
11:06Horrible.
11:07Number 8.
11:08Dollhouse
11:09Paris Hilton
11:09Paris Hilton has arguably dabbled in everything at this point, so her fashion line was no surprise to anyone.
11:16It just makes me so happy to be able to make my fans live all around the world.
11:20What is surprising, however, is the amount of pieces that featured her name and or face on them.
11:25But let's be honest, what were we expecting from the overly publicized heiress?
11:29The 2000s were Hilton's heyday.
11:31In 2007, her clothing line, Dollhouse, was released at Kits and Boutiques, a 2000 celebrity shopping staple.
11:37Hilton claims she wanted to make her fashions available to everyone.
11:41Well, if you wanted a top with a picture of her face on it, or a dress you'd wear once
11:45and then push to the back of your closet, you were definitely in luck.
11:48This line shockingly faded away with the odds.
11:51Number 7.
11:52Miley Cyrus and Max Azria
11:54Miley Cyrus
11:56Introducing Miley Cyrus and Max Azria.
11:58It's perfect.
11:59Perfect.
11:59So I put my hands up to play my song
12:02In 2009, Miley Cyrus, Max Azria and Walmart teamed up for a youth fashion line.
12:08Keep in mind that in 2009, Cyrus was still a typical teenager and not inappropriate for kids.
12:13The line was said to be influenced by edgy UK style and was affordably priced.
12:18However, some pointed out that nothing was new in the designs and most were just revamped versions of prior fashions.
12:23Now create your own look with my new line, Miley Cyrus and Max Azria.
12:27Cheaping out was perhaps not a great choice.
12:29The Miley Cyrus jewelry line was recalled for dangerous levels of metal cadmium in 2010.
12:34Cadmium can be dangerous, especially when ingested or put in your mouth, as kids sometimes do.
12:40The collaboration was cancelled when Cyrus was told she had to choose weed or Walmart.
12:45And as she said in her own words,
12:47You see what I did?
12:48I chose weed.
12:50Number 6.
12:51Sweet Face
12:51Jennifer Lopez
12:52If it's not gonna be great, then we're not gonna do it.
12:56MTV can go home right now.
12:58Jennifer Lopez has dabbled in fashion a few times, beginning in 2001 with the JLo line.
13:03In 2005, she introduced Sweet Face during New York Fashion Week.
13:07The fashion line was a partnership with Tommy Hilfiger's brother, and ultimately failed to impress due to cheap manufacturing and
13:13high prices.
13:14A quick glance at the release's highlights feature a lot of layering, furs, lace, and perhaps the only truly impressive
13:20moment in the show, Naomi Campbell.
13:22Sweet Face didn't last long, and in retrospect, Lopez has admitted that it was a low point in her career
13:27in general, limiting it on a lack of creative control.
13:30Don't be fooled by the rocks that she got, she didn't design them.
13:33It was a team that came together, it was like lightning in a bottle.
13:37Number 5.
13:38Yeezy
13:38Kanye West
13:39Kanye is... Kanye.
13:43Yeezy was arguably best known for its 2015 collaboration with Adidas, which featured some interesting designs to say the least.
13:50Tell me a little bit about the creative process where you designed one of these.
13:53It could start with a sketch, it could start with a vintage reference, it could start with a previous shoe
14:00that we created that we're making a newer version on.
14:02However, the sportswear giant decided to part ways with Yee after the latter made some derogatory posts on Twitter, or
14:09X.
14:10Merch was still available as of 2023, as there were still some unreleased designs.
14:14Yeezy is the Lamborghini of shoes.
14:17Yeezy still exists however, as was made apparent during Super Bowl 58, when Kanye appeared in a bizarre commercial.
14:23He was clearly in the back of a car, lazily saying the commercial spot cost so much that they had
14:28to skimp on the actual ad.
14:29We actually eat and spend anybody on the actual commercial.
14:33He then promotes his site, Yeezy.com, which when visited features 13 items, most of them t-shirts promoting his
14:39album.
14:40Number 4.
14:41LL Cool J for Sears
14:43LL Cool J
14:44LL Cool J
14:45LL Cool J
14:46LL Cool J
14:47Sears
14:48LL Cool J
14:49In 2008, rapper and actor LL Cool J teamed up with Sears to design the cleverly named LL Cool J
14:55for Sears clothing line.
14:56The line for use featured affordable pieces, including $22 t-shirts and $50 denim.
15:02Ladies may love Cool J, but they weren't included in his fashion line, unfortunately.
15:06Within months, there were already 40% off sales on the items, meaning it perhaps wasn't quite what Sears or
15:11Mr. Cool J were hoping for.
15:13The collaboration was odd to begin with, as Sears doesn't exactly scream cool, does it?
15:18Price is just right, trust you gon' love it. LL Cool J and Sears got you covered.
15:23It may not be the first stop for children's clothing either. Would it have been more successful had it been
15:27aimed at everyone's grandparents? Perhaps.
15:30Number 3.
15:326126
15:32Lindsay Lohan
15:33Round 2!
15:35Lindsay Lohan's name isn't quite synonymous with fashion, but she has been involved in multiple collaborations in the design field.
15:41However, she hasn't been easy to work with, according to multiple sources.
15:45This was likely what happened with the 6126 line, which began in 2008 as a luxury leggings line.
15:51The name represents the birth date of Marilyn Monroe, June 1st, 1926.
15:55Whether Monroe would have worn overpriced leggings is up for debate.
15:59The company's Mr. President leggings, featuring questionable leather knee pads, sold for around $142, with other designs around the $100
16:06mark.
16:07Ouch!
16:08Lohan left the company in 2010, and sued them in 2013, to unknown results.
16:13Lohan has been sporadically involved in fashion design since, in a more subtle capacity.
16:21Number 2.
16:22House of Darion
16:23Beyonce Knowles and Tina Lawson
16:25House of Darion was a fashion line launched in 2006 by Beyonce and her mom.
16:37The line was said to be influenced by generations of women in the pop star's family, combining looks from the
16:42aughts, 1970s, and 1940s.
16:45The company tried to widen its output with homewares and such, but ultimately had to call it quits just a
16:50few years after its release.
16:51Whatever your style is, have fun, be creative, and remember, home is where the heart is.
16:58Why? Some blame lackluster clothing, difficulty finding an exact demographic, or perhaps it was the controversial use of very young
17:05models, in very inappropriate outfits for advertisements.
17:08From an outsider's perspective, the company could perhaps have used more enthusiastic spokesmanship, as is evident in the Deadpan House
17:15of Darion betting promo starring Bae's mom, Tina.
17:18It's beautiful, it has a great satiny feel, and you just get into the bed and just snuggle up.

17:30You have the option to be notified for occasional videos or all of them.
17:34If you're on your phone, make sure you go into your settings and switch on notifications.
17:40Number 1. Heidi Wood, Heidi Montag
17:48Remember Heidi Montag?
17:49Well, in 2008, Montag signed on for a one-year contract with now-defund clothing store Anchor Blue.
17:55The contract was not renewed.
17:57When the line, named Heidi Wood, was launched, critiques were not so nice.
18:01Actually, they lit the match to draw attention to the dumpster fire.
18:04Montag's line featured scant clothing items that left nothing to the imagination,
18:08and though priced affordably, were reportedly awful in quality.
18:11One critic went as far as to say clothing may be pricier at Gap, but at least it's unlikely to
18:16give you a rash.
18:17And in the blink of an eye, Heidi Wood was gone.
18:20Blue Anchor politely claimed creative differences.
18:22Montag was free to turn to her plethora of other unnecessary career attempts.
18:31Would you wear any of these fashion lines? Let us know in the comments.
18:35Those sounds that hate.
18:35the two in the middle of the places were peux v ministre of thecil's to fill this in detail.
18:36There are only two empty pieces from thereäums.
18:41There's there, there are manyериants.
