As Nottingham Forest battles to stay in the Premier League, they also have a shot at winning the Europa League. We explore the financial and sporting implications of this extraordinary potential outcome.

00:00Would you take relegation to the Championship for Champions League qualification?
00:04That is a conundrum that Nottingham Forest may be facing at the end of this season.
00:08When they batted Sunderland 5-0 on Friday night, many, including me, thought,
00:12that's that, they're safe. But West Ham and Spurs both winning two at the weekend
00:17means we are as we were before that match day. Forest are five points clear of the drop,
00:22but with fixtures against Newcastle, Man United, Chelsea and Bournemouth on the horizon,
00:26they are not out of the woods yet. They also have a Europa League semi-final on the horizon
00:31against Villa, which is tough, but winnable. The Europa League final is during the last week of
00:36the season. So if it came down to it, what would they prioritise? Premier League survival
00:40or Champions League qualification? Winning the Europa League and being relegated would be
00:44extraordinary for Forest, not just for the storyline, but also for the fact that they
00:48didn't even qualify for the Europa League this season. They are promoted due to a technicality
00:53at Crystal Palace's expense, which honestly, I am totally over. I have no ill feeling towards them
01:00at all. Would going down but being in the Champions League be a good season? A better season than
01:05staying up with no Europe? What about financially? Would Elliot Anderson leave? Morgan Gibbs-White?
01:11If you're asking me, I'm taking the Championship x UCL duo. Imagine it. If they won the Championship
01:16and the Champions League and the FA Cup, is that the treble? Is that actually more impressive
01:20than City United's treble? So many questions, so few answers. I love football.
