00:05The next Premier League challenge is Everton, a new stadium for you to go to.
00:11Tell me your thoughts on what David Moyes has done since he's returned there.
00:17David Moyes since he was born.
00:21I've been really good in everywhere.
00:24I still have the passion at his age to train.
00:26It's really nice.
00:27Of course, maybe in the last moments we have good results, but I'm still fighting for European competitions and looking
00:35for a new stadium and ready for another final.
00:41Does it matter that Arsenal will have played two more Premier League games before you play, or is it just
00:46a case of concentrating on what you have to do?
00:51Always you ask me the same questions.
00:53It's normal, so it's a calendar.
00:54Sometimes you play first, some play behind, or it's what it is.
00:59So, there's nothing change in these stages, so you know exactly what you have to do.
01:04And finally, from me, I wanted to mention John Stones, who's obviously got a history with Everton, a big history
01:09here.
01:10Can you just sum up his contribution to this football club and what he means to you as a player
01:16and a person, and what he's achieved here?
01:17Well, one of the first signs, I remember perfectly traveling to London to meet him in my brother's house, and
01:24for the first time he was young.
01:27You see his faces in that moment now, there are a few players that cannot understand what happened in this
01:36period together.
01:37He's one of them, so he was the best player by far in the final in Istanbul.
01:41That means his personality, now he feels fit, hopefully he can fight physically the rhythm to be ready.
01:54And like Bernardo has said, part of, you know, for ourselves, not just me, ourself is living, so contributions have
02:03been massive.
02:04So, he's an incredible person on and off the pitch as a football player, so, yeah, really pleased.
02:11I'm so incredible, as I said, Bernardo, grateful to live this many, many years here with a person like John.
02:20Hi, Pep. Path has been confirmed for the rest of the season, you've got, the fixtures have been confirmed for
02:26the rest of the season.
02:27Three games in seven days or four in 11, whichever way you look at it.
02:30I know you'll say it's something you have to deal with, but what are your feelings on how the fixtures
02:35have been set up?
02:36It's where it is. I prefer even play Champions League semi-final, so.
02:40It's where it is. When we went to travel and quadruple, always we had this type of calendar, of course,
02:44could be better,
02:45but I never spec'd from a long time ago something. So, it's where it is, we adapt, go to play
02:52game by game.
02:53You say you don't expect any sort of help, is that what it is?
02:56It's what it is. So, the calendar, the broadcasters, the Premier League, or whatever, who decide, decide that game,
03:01we'll be there with 11 players plus people in the bunch.
03:05Just as an example, PSG this season requested a postponement for one of their games. That was accepted by Ligue
03:121.
03:12And in Portugal, it happened in other countries, but here is what it is.
03:16So, I said the same, it's what it is, you have to adapt. If you don't like, go to train
03:19in France or go to train in Portugal.
03:21So, I like to be here. And I said many, many times, when I was in Barcelona, and I see
03:28all the managers here complaining about the schedule,
03:32I will not be there in the past. So, it's what it is. So, I never, never expect differently.
03:39So, they decide to play on Tuesdays, Saturdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, we'll play.
03:45Hi, Pep. Can you just check on Rodri? How is he recovering?
03:50He's getting better. Still didn't train with us, so we'll see next days.
03:54And there's a couple of days before the game yet. Are you confident he'll be okay?
03:57Always I'm confident.
03:59And Ruben Diaz, how is he?
04:01It's not yet with the team. But it's getting better. Him, Josco and Rodri is better.
04:07Hi, Pep. It was nice to see you at Stockport in midweek. Why now to choose to go and watch
04:14Stockport?
04:16No, because the day before, I saw the calendar, the game passage at Bayern Munich,
04:20and said, what a disaster game. So, managers are not good, Luis, Vinny. So,
04:29really, really, really shit, shit player. So, I decided to go. I'm in love with English football,
04:35and I went to see Stockport.
04:42What about this weekend? Any plans to go and watch any of the other EFL games this weekend,
04:46the final day of the season? Sorry?
04:48Any plans to go and watch any other EFL games on the final day of the season?
04:51No. Next season, my old team Bayern Munich will be in front of the sofa.
05:01In terms of being on the sofa, excuse me, obviously Arsenal play,
05:04will you be watching that game on Saturday night? Do you watch their games when you're not playing?
05:10What time play? 5.30 on Saturday. 5.30, that's the train session. Yeah, maybe I'll watch some.
05:15Yeah. Hi, Pep. You didn't watch the PSG and Bayern games, but I imagine you watched the highlights?
05:26No, I watched the game right after when I arrived at home, after Stockport, Port Vale.
05:31Last of one, I watched the game, knowing the result.
05:34After that incredible game, some people say, that's football, that's what football is about.
05:39Others would say, where are the defences? Why so many goals? Why so many chances?
05:44That's nice what football is all about. You and me are not the same. I'm more handsome than you.
05:52So, it's not the same. Football is, and everybody is nice. It was a good game.
05:58And the day after, in different styles, it was a good game.
06:01Atletico Madrid-Arsenal. So, it's, of course, when you score a game, semi-fine, nine goals,
06:07it's top. It's fantastic. So, but different ways, and that's why football has to be accepted and everything.
06:14Because as much you do something that your players follow you, and everybody is committed with the idea,
06:22everything's fine. Because at the end, the difference, we get the system.
06:26It's, of course, it's interesting because in both teams, it's man-marking, incredibly high-pressing,
06:32man-marking. I see left back playing as the right wingers following one player and the other one.
06:36And when that's happened, with the quality they have, one player dribbling, one player can go alone.
06:42So, it's not held because it's man-marking, but they are incredibly intense, aggressive,
06:46and a player's ability to have one against one and make actions normally one against one,
06:51and actually the 45, 50 meters back and forth, back and forth during 90 minutes. It's extraordinary to
06:57watch, you know. And other teams just say, no, no, I prefer more zonal, I prefer to,
07:01you know, to be more control, and everything is nice. So, I think both semi-finals was in different
07:07styles, of course, but really, really good. You would be even better with the moustache, just so you know.
07:11Sorry? You would be even better with the moustache. Summertime, summertime.
07:17Pep, you've talked about the calendar. This is, from the other point of view, you've had a bit of
07:22time off, or, you know, between matches, which is unusual. You can sometimes maybe make that
07:27to your advantage, but I'm wondering, personally, how do you deal with that at this time of the season?
07:31Do you get irritable with more time? Well, it's nice. On the moment I played Tuesday and Wednesday,
07:36I said, oh, I would like to be there, you know, in Champions League, but life you never can get,
07:41I never can enjoy everything, so the rest, yeah, enjoy the off, prepare the games,
07:49see Brentford against Old Trafford, for example, because we'll be the next opponent, and how
07:53impressed I was, even they lost, they were really good in Old Trafford, so I think Brentford has done
08:02incredible season, yeah, doing this, play golf a little bit with this beautiful weather, today finish,
08:08so, yeah, good. So when you don't necessarily make the players work harder in that time, you try and
08:14make use of a little bit of breathing space, perhaps? Yeah, day off, day off. Yeah, okay, and just on
08:21Everton, you've already alluded to it that they're pushing for Europe still, so, of course, there's a
08:26carrot there for them. How difficult an opponent do you see them being? Always have been. I will be weird,
08:33because, you know, all Everton Stadium was so cool, so nice, so British, I love to go there, but yeah,
08:44looking forward to the new stadium, and they defend really well, David Moyes knows exactly what to do,
08:49set pieces with the Tarkovsky, so, always have been tough, so the game we played here, we won,
08:56because we didn't do two or three actions, but we were not, in that moment, we were not good. I
09:02think
09:03we are better in that moment, and hopefully we can use it. We know what we are playing for, so
09:08we don't have any result that win, win and win.
09:11I'll set the embargo there for 10.30pm on Sunday evening. Someone start, please. Martin.
09:17Hi, Pep. He can't play on Monday. He's out for the season, but Jack Grealish has had a good start
09:22at Everton. What do you sort of make of the sort of his future, Pep? I don't know. I'll win
09:28the best from
09:29Okay, so, I'll try to take a break.
