00:01I cried on camera, off camera, before the whole show even started filming, after the show Harbi's filming, it was,
00:10to see heavy was probably, it's underrated, but as a mother, it's something you would never, ever, ever think, imagine,
00:22that's all I can say now.
00:25It was a lot of digging really, really, really deep as a mother, as an actor, this is something that
00:36I had never come across, I had never come across a script like this, a character like this, so when
00:41I first sat down with Arif, I met with him, and he said, look, we have this script, I really
00:46think that you would be fitting for it, do you want to read some lines?
00:50And at the moment I read one of the scenes, tears started rolling out my eyes, like I couldn't stop,
00:56so I was basically not even acting anymore, it was just, it's just a natural instinct as a mother, reading
01:01such lines in such a traumatic phase that a mother would have to go through, right?
01:08As a person, as a person who was acting out a character, it was already hard for me to even
01:12digest the script, and so to encourage women who may have had a similar feeling or had been in a
01:22similar situation, God forbid, but to encourage them to realize that they're not alone is one thing, and to realize
01:32that they can reach out for help,
01:35that they don't need to suffer alone, that they don't need to suffer alone, whether it's a small issue or
01:40a big issue, that the help is out there, so I think to be able to be a relatable mother,
01:45that was my main purpose of taking this role, is like being able to relate, because I think, I actually
01:51think I'm the only cast that has a child,
01:56so that was quite a heavy burden on me, because like how do I express these feelings to people who
02:04don't have children, right? So I think that's an important part as representing a mom that has a child, and
02:10just making sure that women out there don't feel alone, that they can relate, that they can reach out for
02:18help, so hopefully that is what translates.
