Blinded by the flag: Banksy confirms new statue in London is his work

UPDATE: Banksy has confirmed that the large statue of a suited man blinded by his own flag and walking off a plinth is his work. It appeared in central London overnight.

00:08Elusive street artist Banksy later confirmed it was his work.
00:13In a video posted to his Instagram page, Banksy showed snippets of how the sculpture was put up in the

00:19It was erected in Waterloo Place, near other statues of King Edward VII, Florence Nightingale and the Crimean War Memorial.
00:27Statues are not what Banksy is primarily known for.
00:30He's far more famous for his spray painting on buildings, with his first creations appearing in the early 1990s in
00:36his hometown of Bristol.
