00:39It was wonderful. His Royal Highness was so easy. He made us all feel so much at ease. It was
00:46such a pleasure and a happy day for us all here. Interested in the people, the helpers, the donors, the
00:53board, everybody. And then, of course, he was absolutely intrigued to seeing all the different bikes going around the track.
00:58It will be a lot of chit-chat, particularly amongst our users. And also, it gives us another sphere that
01:05we are being recognized so much. And this means a lot because that means the future of the track.
01:12Today, how did you find it?
01:14Oh, very, very good.
01:17So, did you have fun?
01:19Yes.
01:21What do you like the most?
01:23Riding bikes.
01:27It was good.
01:28Yeah, it was quite the experience, isn't it?
01:30Yeah.
01:30The kids were delighted to get a day off school today.
01:33It was good meeting Prince Edward.
01:36He was really lovely. And he had lots of time with us.
01:40Yeah.
01:40Yeah.
01:40And he was interested in the girls right up in the hip until Rosie shot off.
01:46Yeah, she couldn't wait to cycle her bike and show her how it was done.
01:51I think it's really important. I mean, it's something that we don't get very often, especially such a small charity
01:56that we are.
01:57And it really helps get the word out and lets people know that we're here, which is really important for
02:02us.
02:07It was completely unexpected for me to be invited, but it was a lovely visit.
02:14Prince Edward certainly took a keen interest in all the guests to hear about the various things they are involved
02:23in the community.
02:26It was amazing for the children.
02:29We had 15 children that we took up from the primary school.
02:32Their names were selected from a hat to see who could be part of the welcoming party.
02:38And they were so excited.
02:40They made banners, red, white and blue banners, and they put a lot of thought into it.
02:44They used the values from the school in their posters, rainbows and a lot of red, white and blue.
02:49And they came up here and they presented themselves to the Prince, who was very genuine, really relaxed, warm, engaging.
03:00Asked the children a lot of questions and they were completely honest with their answers.
03:04We had one little girl, Victoria from P1, who presented the Prince with our Codder community cookbook.
03:10So this was an initiative that we had done at the school with Parent Council as a fundraiser to raise
03:16money for an outdoor classroom.
03:18And we have sold 400 of these copies.
03:22And one of the very last ones was given to the Prince by Victoria this morning.
03:26So we were chuffed with that.
03:29It's nowhere expected, to be quite honest with you.
03:32It's absolutely nowhere expected.
03:33It was very relaxed, very, very friendly, very chilled out.
03:39And it was a very relaxing conversation, considering we were on the outside.
03:45We weren't part of the party, but he came and spoke to us.
03:47And it was very, very, very relaxing.
03:53It was very relaxed.
03:54We were a business as usual and we knew in advance he was a very easygoing gentleman.
04:01And he was exactly that when he was here.
04:04Very pleasant, very chatty and spoke to all the staff, which was lovely.
04:08And he seemed to enjoy his visit and he enjoyed the coffee, which is even better.
04:12He was telling us about coffee that he had in a, I can't remember if it was an island in
04:18the Caribbean.
04:19And then he said it was straight from the sort of coffee fields.
04:23Very strong, very different, untouched, you know.
04:26So quite a different experience to the processed coffees, I suppose, that we serve.
04:30But he still said it was a very nice coffee.
04:32So we're delighted with that.
