El gobernador de Cundinamarca, Jorge Rey, informó que tras más de 20 horas de labores de rescate, fueron encontrados sin vida los tres mineros atrapados en un socavón del municipio de Zipaquirá. Por su parte, el alcalde del municipio, Fabián Mauricio Rojas García, detalló que los cuerpos fueron encontrados a 180 metros de la superficie. Mientras tanto, el Cuerpo Oficial de Bomberos de Cundinamarca, indicó que la operación de rescate lleva dos de los tres cadáveres recuperados.
