00:10A court heard that more than £600 worth of damage was caused to the casing for the jewels and also
00:17to the museum floor.
00:19The defendants told Westminster Magistrates Court that they were carrying out a peaceful protest and they claimed that they had
00:26a lawful excuse.
00:28The jewel house briefly closed after the incident but reopened later the same day.
00:33The crown jewels were not damaged in any way.
00:36The case has been adjourned with all four defendants due to appear again later this year in ongoing court proceedings.
