01:41like the one that needs to unite all Colombians, is to find those common propósitos

05:31¿Cómo analizar estos resultados que obtuvo hoy Gustavo Petro?
05:34Son los resultados más altos que ha obtenido una candidatura de izquierda en las elecciones presidenciales en la historia del
05:39país.
05:40¿Cómo los analiza usted, Fidel?
05:42Sí,
05:43es muy significativo,
05:44es una votación que jamás,
05:45pues bueno,
05:46jamás un candidato de izquierda había llegado a una segunda vuelta y a tener semejante votación.
05:52Por eso yo creo que ese mensaje que deja esa votación hay que tenerlo en cuenta, hay que entender que
05:59en este país hay mucha gente mucho más activa que se está despertando, que quiere transformaciones reales, que quiere cambiar
06:10las fuerzas del poder político y económico.
06:16Y esos poderes tienen que entender que aunque hayan ganado esta elección, pues tienen que escuchar semejante votación como la
06:24que obtuvo Gustavo Petro.
06:26Creo que él es reflejo de que este país necesita cambios en las élites, digamos, políticas, económicas y que esas
06:37mismas élites políticas y económicas lo mejor que pueden hacer es escuchar ese mensaje y actuar en consecuencia para hacer
06:46una transición mucho más suave, si se quiere, pero más efectiva para todos los colombianos.
06:54Por eso insisto en que este no es un, que ojalá el presidente Duque y todo su grupo que lo
07:01rodea entiendan que esto no es un mandato absoluto, que ahí hay una cantidad de colombianos que no se pueden
07:07dejar de lado o dejar aparte.
07:09Es muy significativa la votación que obtuvo la izquierda y eso hay que tenerlo en cuenta.
07:17Fidel, dos preguntas finales. Sabemos que está alistando y dirigiendo toda la edición impresa mañana al espectador con todo lo
07:23que fue esta segunda vuelta presidencial.
07:24El tema del voto en blanco, Fidel, el periódico en su editorial la había apostado por decirle a sus lectores,
07:31no estamos con Duque, no estamos con Petro, el voto en blanco es una buena opción.
07:34Y vimos que hoy el voto en blanco finalmente obtuvo algo muy por debajo de lo que preveían las encuestas,
07:405,66%.
07:41¿Qué análisis hace usted del voto en blanco, Fidel?
07:45Pues yo creo que el voto en blanco es una expresión absolutamente válida y también manda una señal, digamos, de
07:52gente que no quiere estar en los extremos, que no quiere estar en medio de la división,
07:58que nos sentimos que realmente hay una posibilidad en el centro.
08:02La primera vuelta tampoco se puede olvidar, digamos, que hubo una votación de centro inmensa en este país, obviamente en
08:10una segunda vuelta, pues, y digamos, con dos candidatos que estaban tan en los extremos, digamos,
08:19pues, evidentemente eso jala a que la votación al final no haya sido tan alta para el voto en blanco.
08:25Pero como hubo tanto, digamos, dramatismo en contra de la gente que elegía votar en blanco, como se le acusó
08:35de tanto, digamos, de no decidirse y de esa manera ayudarle,
08:41sobre todo a uno de los candidatos, hoy presidente, pues, creo que lo que hicimos desde el editorial, más que
08:49señalarle a nadie que tenía que escoger el voto en blanco,
08:54pues, era darle validez a esa representación, digamos, a que la gente tenía todo el derecho de no escoger entre
09:03los extremos,
09:04de creer que realmente no era obligatorio escoger uno de los dos bandos y hacerse contar también, digamos, en que
09:16el centro seguía vivo en este país.
09:21Obviamente, al final, pues, una segunda vuelta y con una votación tan en los extremos, pues, jaló a mucha gente
09:30a no votar el voto.
09:33Bueno, Fidel, y la pregunta final, qué pena que lo vayamos a chivear, pero adelante nos al guito del editorial
09:38de mañana del Espectador.
09:40¿Qué va a decir? ¿Qué mensaje le va a mandar al presidente Iván Duque?
09:45No, pues, ya lo he repetido en todo lo que he dicho, pero más o menos es eso, es felicitaciones,
09:53ha recibido un mandato contundente,
09:55pero, por favor, no se olvide que ese no es un mandato absoluto y que ahí, en esta elección,
10:02ha habido unos mensajes muy claros de que esto no es avasallando y de que estamos todos dispuestos a trabajar
10:10para que él tenga una buena presidencia.
10:13Lo mejor que le puede pasar a los colombianos es que al presidente Duque le vaya bien,
10:18y eso requiere que se escuche toda esa otra voz, digamos, que ha dejado esta elección
10:27y, por supuesto, también desde el lado de quienes estuvieron en contra en la otra campaña,
10:34pues también la grandeza de saber que si hay unos propósitos comunes a todos nos va a ir mejor
10:41y que es excelente que haya oposición, una oposición fuerte al gobierno que lo controle,
10:48que no lo deje hacer barbaridades, pero también con ánimo constructivo y no simplemente un obstruccionismo o algo por el
10:57estilo.
