00:24The EU tech enforcers said Meta does not do enough to enforce its restrictions against children under 13 from using
00:32Facebook and Instagram
00:33and that measures to identify and remove them when they do access the services were inadequate.
00:39It said 10-12% of children under 13 in Europe use Facebook and Instagram.
00:44Meta will now have the chance to examine the Commission's investigation file and mount a defence.
00:49If the finding against the Silicon Valley company is upheld, it could be fined up to 6% of its
00:56global annual turnover.
00:57Meta reported revenue of US$201 billion for 2025.
