In addition to numerous standard driver assistance systems (such as Lane Assist, Front Assist, and the cornering brake function), the electric compact model gains a range of new features thanks to the latest software generation. These include, for example, the further developed Connected Travel Assist with traffic light recognition (optional) and the so-called One-Pedal Driving, in which the vehicle recuperates energy until it comes to a complete stop. Furthermore, as with all new ID. models, it is now possible to power external devices – from electric grills to e-bikes – directly from the high-voltage battery using the Vehicle-to-Load function, with a power output of up to 3.6 kW.

As soon as the doors of the ID.3 Neo open, it becomes clear that a completely new sense of quality and clarity characterizes the new model. This is evident in the high-quality materials with a pleasant feel, the clear horizontal design of the lines and surfaces, new ergonomic and self-explanatory controls, tactile buttons, and intuitive dials for key functions. The multifunction steering wheel has also been completely redesigned, featuring a flattened top and bottom and clearly arranged buttons. The new infotainment system ("Innovision") with its 26.0 cm (10.25-inch) "Digital Cockpit" and a 32.8 cm (12.9-inch) central display impresses with smooth graphics and ease of use.
