00:05We heard three shots back to back, pop, pop, pop.

00:46I was in the bathroom when I heard six or seven shots ring. I'm not sure exactly.
00:52I thought those were gunshots, but I could not be certain.
00:56What I first noticed was this absolute rush of waiters and people running down this center aisle towards the stage
01:05where President Trump was sitting.
01:08When all of a sudden we were being shouted at to get under the tables, everyone did that.
01:12Cabinet secretaries, ambassadors, journalists, other guests immediately ducked under their tables.
01:17Every single person around me just jumped under a table.
01:21Everybody was laying on the ground. All the journalists, all the guests, all the dignitaries were on the ground.
01:29A woman from the security services, she confirmed that those were gunshots and that we should shelter in place.
01:36For us, the biggest sign was we saw Secret Service agents rush through the doors and towards the stage and
01:45towards the president.
01:46You would just hear the ruffle of civil wear and glasses start shattering, and it almost seemed like a stampede
01:53was running towards the president's table.
01:57And then a bunch of people came sprinting into the room, and we saw everybody getting rushed out, Donald Trump
02:02first.
02:03That's when it became pretty, pretty obvious what was going on.
02:08President Trump was whisked away from the stage within just a few seconds.
02:13We also seen Vice President J.D. Vance being evacuated by his own team as well.
02:20Then armed personnel came into the ballroom, and they started evacuating people out.
02:27The president was taken to a room just off stage.
02:32He really insisted many times that the speech go on.
02:35The security agents, the Secret Service, they actually convinced the president not to do that, to end the event.
02:42And so eventually the event was canceled.
02:48One person we spoke to was thinking that now we're still trying to get a sense of is what exactly.
