El Ministerio de las TIC está cerca de publicar el documento definitivo de la licitación pública, para la cual se destinarían COP 970.000 millones. ¿A qué retos se enfrenta el proyecto?

00:00When he viajado to the Amazonia, he failed the internet connection.
00:02That could change with a project that seeks to cross the rivers of the region with large cables of optics.
00:07It would be approximately 1.600 km of red that would be spread by the river Putumayo and other 70
00:13km from the river Amazonas.
00:14According Karina Murcia, Ministra of the STIC, the initiative would allow to connect around 100.000 homes of the Amazonia
00:20Colombian.
00:21Leticia, Tarapacá, Puerto Nariño, El Encanto, Puerto Leguizamo and San Miguel would be some of the municipalities.
00:27But still takes time, the first services would be available for the inhabitants from the 2028.
00:33At the moment, the Ministra of the STIC is advancing on the definitive pliegue that will present at the end
00:37of this month, of the public solicitation of this project.
00:40In a preliminary way, there are 46 providers, both national and international, interested in the initiative,
00:46among which are large companies such as Claro Colombia and ETV.
00:49But this still doesn't imply formal offers, nor generates rights or obligations contractuals.
00:54The challenges of this project are not menores.
00:57The Mintic recognizes its complex logistics and environmental,
01:00in which it describes as one of the most sensitive and remote ecosystems of the planet.
01:04For installing these cables in a river like the Amazonas,
01:06the most caudalous of the world, are required technologies specialized,
01:10as well as to make previous studies to make a profile of the river and understand their behavior.
01:14But one of the most complex issues is perhaps the lack of operative windows,
01:19that is, the fact that during several months these rivers can be inaccessible due to the changes in their level.
01:24An example is what occurred in 2024, when the project Infovia 02 of the Norte Conectado program
01:30of Brazil, which was connected to Colombia, had to postpone.
01:34Due to the intense sequia that was presented during the last months of the year,
01:37the boats could not travel to transport and deploy the cables.
01:41This will be still more challenging during the time of maintenance,
01:44because the network will now manage a large amount of traffic,
01:46connected markets and basically become a critical infrastructure for the countries and its operators.
01:51If you want to know more about this project, write the news in the comments
01:55and we send the whole story to the UDM.
02:21the UDM.
02:22The referent thing is to talk to EarthSense.
02:22So the budget is the right, it is the left, it is the right, it is the right.
02:22So this is absolutely the right, it is the right, it is the right.
02:22So the next project that troops in the UDM
02:22The UDM is very much more challenging and the right, it is the right.
02:23The UDM.
