04:16Thank you very much.
04:17Thank you very much.
04:54Thank you very much.
04:57Thank you very much.
05:19We're getting some much back on this story.
05:22What else is going on?
05:23Tell us.
05:56And as we just are seeing the live visuals, viewers, the Jaguar fighter jet landing on the Sultan, near Sultanpur,
06:05the expressway that is going on.
06:07That is the Purvanchal expressway where this Air Force drill is currently going on.
06:15One year since Pahalgam, this big preparedness display.
06:19And these are not just fighter jets.
06:21As you can see on your screens, transport aircrafts, rescue aircrafts, all of them, helicopters, all of them doing these
06:29emergency landing drills to test preparedness.
06:33These aircraft viewers, remember, are not just for war, but for any troop insertion, for any disaster release.
06:41Samarth is back live with us on this story.
06:43Samarth.
06:47What else can you tell us about the Purvanchal expressway are roaring because Indian Air Force in full action out
06:57here at the Purvanchal expressway near the Sultanpur districts.
07:00If you see the visuals out here, you will see the Indian Air Force officers roaming all around here, taking
07:06stock of the security measures.
07:08Not just that, that runway, all set as we have witnessed already, Jaguar, C-295 and many, many such airplanes,
07:18fighter planes.
07:19I must tell you that they have the capacity to move across kilometers.
07:23And just what we have seen in the Operation Sindur, they can easily repair.
07:28You can clearly see this particular visual.
07:30Two aircrafts, two fighter planes coming here.
07:33That seems to be Mirage or Jaguar.
07:36You can clearly see the way.
07:38That is such a splendid moment out here at the Purvanchal expressway.
07:43Just witness the bravery of Indian Air Force.
07:48What they are doing right over here.
07:50Just chasing the skies.
07:53When temperature is soaring above 40 degree, the Air Force, the aircrafts are chasing the skies with the anthems of,
08:04we say, the national pride running all together.
08:08So these are the visuals coming from here in Sultanpur, Purvanchal district.
08:12I must tell you, it is one year to the Pahalgam incident where we saw a lot of Indians losing
08:18their lives.
08:19And now, after conducting Operation Sindur, Indian Air Force are telling the enemies that, yes, we are ready.
08:28We are fully prepared.
08:30If they will try to put an eye on our nation, they will trash them.
08:35Be it on the sky, be it on the ground or in the waters.
08:41So these visuals clearly telling you the story.
08:44The area, the 3.2 kilometers airstrip all set as we are witnessing a mega air shore rehearsal out here.
08:53So these visuals are captivating.
08:56I must tell you, the helicopters, the fighter jets, including the Sukhoi, Transport, Aircraft, C-295, Helicopters, Mi-17, V
09:04-5, all are being used out here.
09:08If we talk about the strategic importance of this particular air rehearsal, then in the time so far, enemy forces
09:13often target the air bases first.
09:15These highway airstrips serve as vital backup runway, ensuring the IAF remains operational, even if traditional bases are compromised.
09:24So if you talk about the Sukhoi, that's the Airborne Command Center, the master of airspace control.
09:30It functions as a flying command hub, guiding a smaller aircraft from jamming enemy radars.
09:35But a wider picture, if you talk about this particular expressway, in 2021, Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, inaugurated
09:42Purwanchal expressway.
09:44And now, the coming visuals will be from the Jaguar fighter airplane of the Indian Air Force.
09:53Just few seconds after this, as you see the visuals, what we have got, the announcements from the Indian Air
10:00Force,
10:01that the next plane coming out here is the Jaguar.
10:04And Jaguar is a devastating plane for the enemies.
10:08It's such a destroyer that enemies fear from it.
10:13And if I talk much about Jaguar, then Jaguar has a great importance, especially when it comes to the surgical
10:20strikes,
10:21when it comes to, in a way, hunting the posts of enemy countries from one to another.
10:27It's not just that, you have to go there, the Air Force uses Jaguar to remove the posts of enemy
10:33countries from one border to another.
10:37As you see the visuals, Jaguar, the visuals of Jaguar out here, the magnificent visual out here.
10:43This voice, this voice, you must admit, this is something fury.
10:50I just heard this particular voice.
10:53I haven't heard this kind of voice coming from any aircraft.
10:57This is something unusual.
11:00And that is what makes Jaguar way apart from other aircraft of the Indian Air Force.
11:08You just heard the voice.
11:09It's still roaring around my ears, inside my ears.
11:13So that's the movement out here.
11:15That's the air rehearsals.
11:17That's the power of the Indian Air Force.
11:19That announcements are being made.
11:20And you clearly see the visuals here, the airstrips.
11:24We'll be seeing another aircraft coming over here.
11:29Another aircraft coming over here.
11:31And I must tell you, if you talk about MiG, if you talk about Sukhoi, Mirage,
11:36then I must tell you, if you talk about Mirage, it's the veteran with world-class accuracy,
11:39when the target is small and collateral, damage must be zero.
11:45That IAF trust the Mirage.
11:48And now, I guess, Jaguar is again coming, but on a lower background.
11:54Because what we have heard from the announcement so far,
11:56the next aircraft will be Jaguar as well.
11:59So we are expecting, so you can clearly see the touchdown happening right over there.
12:03Cameraman Sandeep can zoom out, though it's quite distant.
12:06Then, but you can clearly see the Jaguar, seeing the touchdown happening now,
12:11the same Jaguar will be coming across from this particular road,
12:15to this particular road.
12:17As we are showing you, the live visuals out here, this is the thing.
12:23Wow, just wow.
12:25Just wow.
12:26This is something amazing, unusual and clearly, clearly feary for the enemy countries.
12:34I must tell you, this time around, the Jaguar was quite low.
12:38I think it was hardly three or four foot from the ground.
12:42You can clearly expect, if I am 5'8", then it was around this particular position from where this Jaguar
12:49has just...
12:49Let's talk about what exactly is happening here today.
12:53The Indian Air Force is conducting these drills, the preparedness drills.
12:58Can you tell us a little more about what you're picking up from the officials,
13:03from the officers who are there,
13:04how these kind of drills are going to help India ensure that we are prepared both for war and for
13:11disasters?
13:15See, these kind of rehearsals clearly helps Indian Air Force or Indian Army or Indian Naval Forces in the times
13:24of war.
13:25These are just the practices which they make ahead of war or before the war or in the time when
13:30there is no war.
13:31When we spoke to the Air Force officials, they said it's a regular practice.
13:34These kind of rehearsals happen every year or every second year.
13:37Those, it's not just limited to Uttar Pradesh, it happens around different areas of India.
13:42We also saw this thing happening in the Agra Expressway and also we saw this happening in the Purwantjil Expressway
13:47in 2023.
13:48And now again, we are seeing the same practice happening out here in 2026 at the Purwantjil Expressway.
13:55The next visual is coming.
13:56You can see another series, series of aircrafts coming out here in large numbers.
14:02We have just witnessed the beauty of Indian Air Force out here.
14:07So this is something really, really amazing at the Purwantjil Expressway,
14:13which we are clearly witnessing out here.
14:17And there, that's the visual from here.
14:21Purwantjil Expressway.
14:22It's heat, it's above 40 degree temperature, but the kind of nationalism flowing across among those who are covering this
14:34event
14:34or those Air Force officers who are posted here, the policemen, the organizers, everyone,
14:39they have nothing to do with this particular heat wave.
14:42They are just witnessing a history.
14:45They are just witnessing something in front of their eyes, which might, they might never see again.
14:52They may see in the videos, in the TV, but seeing all of that in front of the eyes is
14:56just a blessing.
14:57And I must tell you that the way Jaguar went out here, the Mirage, we saw Sukhoi.
15:02This is completely commendable from Indian Air Force and just shows the reality,
15:07how ready our forces are for any untoward incident by the opposition.
15:14You see the movement of some officials as well.
15:16Just show the camera right over here.
15:18Some Indian Air Force, Jawans moving across here and just taking the security measures,
15:24keeping stock of the situation, one after the another.
15:28So these visuals clearly captivating and telling you the story about the preparedness of Indian Air Force
15:35for any war or any untoward incident by the enemy.
15:40Back to you.
15:40Samart, we've seen how, as you just mentioned, we saw a similar landing drill at the Ganga Expressway just last
15:49year.
15:50In the last few years, NHAI has identified, India has identified 28 emergency landing fields across 11 states.
15:59And several are now operational and these kind of drills are being done regularly by the Indian Air Force
16:06to ensure defense preparedness, to ensure disaster preparedness.
16:11And as Samart was just saying, multiple aircrafts, whether it's fighter jets,
16:14whether it's transport aircraft, command center aircrafts, helicopters,
16:19all of them are at the provincial expressway today to see how the pilots training,
16:28whether it is the aircraft operational abilities, whether it is the roads abilities,
16:33all of them being tested.
16:35And Samart, we also saw some of the aircraft which were landing and taxiing on the expressway.
16:41On your screens right now, viewers, the Mirage 3000 conducting a landing on the expressway.
16:50Right in front of you is the Mirage, which did a landing exercise.
16:57It has landed, taxied for a little bit and then flew back up in the air.
17:03Beautiful visuals there that my colleague Samart Trivastham is bringing to you
17:07from the Purvanchal Expressway, the emergency landing facility that has been created for the Indian Air Force.
17:23You can see these visuals that my colleague Samart is bringing to you.
17:27Samart, if you can hear me, we saw very, just a few minutes ago,
17:32one of the aircraft landing and then taxiing to the side of the road where officials took a look at
17:40it.
17:40Is this also part of the preparedness drills?
17:54So, as you are seeing the visuals, one after another, aircraft moving across from the runway to the skies.
18:04As you see the air strip walking as the runway currently and I can see another aircraft coming out here.
18:11So, you can clearly understand what the visuals are from here.
18:15The Purvanchal Expressway aircrafts one after the other coming across in a go and now I can see a touchdown
18:24movement out here as well.
18:25So, this is clearly heavy, heavy noise and just, I can make you understand, this is quite a fiery movement
18:53whenever this particular Jaguar,
18:55moves from here, I have to keep my earbuds deep inside to keep my ears safe.
19:01So, this is the situation and you can clearly admit and witness what the enemy country would feel
19:07whenever these particular Jaguars or Mirage or Sukhoi will move one after another from this particular place. Back to you.
19:14Samarthi, if you can hear me right now, if you can hear my question, just a few minutes ago you
19:20showed us these visuals.
19:22They are not just doing touchdown maneuvers, they are also testing the entire area.
19:28We saw one of the fighter jets landing and taxiing for a little while and taxiing to the side of
19:35the road.
19:35Can you tell us a little more about what kind of tests, what kind of practices are happening there at
19:43this particular air defence drill?
19:49See, as I told you Anishaki, this is the air strip and they have, in a way, trying whether if
19:57something like war happens
19:58and the enemy country targets their air bases then they are ensuring that such expressways, air strips must function alongside,
20:08must function in a way, must function in a way just like the air base, the situation, the area, the
20:15breadth, the length, everything.
20:16Everything has been calculated. If you talk about this particular air strip, it is 3.2 kilometres long.
20:22So they clearly ensure that they may act as a mini air base, I must say, in the times of
20:29war.
20:30And that's why such rehearsals, such air shows happens all the time in such expressways, be it Purwanchal, be it
20:37Agra Expressway,
20:38all the different express waves all over India. So this is the, and it's not just one thing.
20:42Air Force have identified many such points, many such air strips across India, though many are open and many are
20:50closed for the security reasons.
20:52To ensure that if the enemy country targets their air bases, they can be used to ensure that Indian Air
21:00Force must remain ahead of anything in the times of war.
21:05Back to you.
21:07Well, Samar, we are, you know, waiting for you to get us more of these exciting, these thrilling visuals of
21:15the Air Force Defence Preparedness Drill.
21:19Can you tell us a little more about what's going on right now? What are you hearing from the announcements?
21:24What are you picking up from the officials who are nearby?
21:34What I am getting from the announcements, it's the Mi-75, MI-75, the helicopter, the chopper. You will be
21:41seeing.
21:47You can clearly see the safety instructions being given by the Indian Air Force officers that you, while covering, you
21:53must be safe.
21:54Because the helicopter is coming. Mi-75, the next, the next visuals of these helicopters, these helicopters telling the story.
22:02This is, and you can clearly see the instructions. You can clearly see now, the Mi-75 helicopters, they are
22:13also being used for the transport purposes.
22:15They are also being used for many other purposes. They will be the next individuals coming from here, from Ground
22:22Zero, as Mi-75, which is also being used for the purposes of transport.
22:30I'm sorry, I'm going to have to interrupt you here for just a moment. I'm being joined on the phone
22:35line by retired Major General Sanjay Meston.
22:39Sir, thank you very much for joining us on this broadcast. We're seeing these Air Defence Preparedness Drill that is
22:47live on our screens right now.
22:50It's a thrilling visual. It is exciting. It is something that will make every Indian sit up and watch with
22:57pride.
22:58But sir, as an officer, I want your take on how these Defence Preparedness Drills really work for our armed
23:08forces. What message are we really sending out?
23:11Yeah, but afternoon, the message is very clear to Pakistan and China, our adversaries, that, firstly, I will just take
23:20you back to Op Sindhu.
23:22Op Sindhu, the total damage, maximum damage was done by the Indian Air Force, and of course the Indian Army,
23:29the nine terrorist camps were struck by them.
23:31That is a seven terrorist camp by the Indian Army in JNK. And of course the Indian Army, the Indian
23:37Air Force has done a fantastic job targeting all the airfields, Noor Khan, Air Baseball, whichever airfields and the air
23:43defence systems.
23:44So the message is very clear on the paragraph anniversary, that Indian armed forces will not accept any evil design
23:51from our enemy nations.
23:53And we are very clear. And I think the lesson learnt also in this recent conflict, the Iran conflict, is
24:00again that airfields today are extremely important and they become a priority target for the enemy to attack.
24:07And therefore, we are today having all options, even having these highways, like this Nilanchand Highway, where the Indian armed
24:15forces can use it for any emergency work or for any contingency.
24:19So I think the message is very clear to our adversaries.
24:23Great. Thank you very much, Major General Meston, for joining us on your screens right now, viewers.
24:28Thank you very much.
