00:00I've had so many I think for me when I just started my first Olympic gold medal is the highlight
00:06because I think that really kind of cemented the idea of what hard work really is and in order to
00:14be successful you had to be intentional about what it is that you want and you really have to have
00:20that self-motivation to talk yourself into doing the things that are important that are going to get you to
00:27the next step.
00:27And I think what also stood out for me is coming back after having my son in 2019 and winning
00:34that world championship in Doha was also a huge if not probably the biggest highlight because in a world where
00:41women are often told that you have to pick you have to choose but you know and motherhood was one
00:48of those moments where for me kind of helped me to evolve as an athlete and as a woman.
00:54So I think those both those moments you know 2008 just coming and 2019 coming back from having my son.
01:03Yeah I think it's for me I like when nations bring teams that have their story because they're chasing history.
01:11They're chasing a moment that's gonna be defined years to come because they gave other athletes the opportunity to believe
01:18that they could or they can do it too.
01:20So I think for the athletes who compete in the relays they have given their country hope they have given
01:27athletes in their country they they you know just the the
01:32the opportunity to dream and to say okay I can be here too doesn't matter what it looks like now
01:38as a team as a collective we can come together and we can create history not just for ourselves but
01:44for our country.
01:44I think I think I personally think that if he had stayed in track a little bit more probably he
01:52would have run 18 who knows because he would have been motivated more because in the latter part of his
02:00career you know it required a lot more work and being intentional and I think for for the latter part
02:06as well I think he may have gotten a little bored
02:08at the end but I think for me had he stayed a little longer maybe who knows he would have
02:15done so much more because the closer persons get to you in terms of your times and your achievement the
02:21more the harder you work so who knows what that could have translated to.
