00:00This pie is for all those men that wear papoosies.
00:03Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the time celebrities got
00:07called out for entitled attitudes live on TV.
00:09Hold it, hold it.
00:10Listen to me because you'll learn.
00:14Number 10, Justin Bieber booed.
00:15Back in 2013, to many individuals, Justin Bieber was public enemy number one.
00:19This was mainly because they disliked his music, but some also thought he had an immature
00:23attitude.
00:23Justin Bieber is the first artist under 19 to have five number ones on the Billboard
00:28200.
00:30At the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, he won the fan-voted Milestone Award.
00:34After stepping up to receive the award, it sounds like almost the entire audience began
00:37booing.
00:38I'm 19 years old.
00:40I think I'm doing a pretty good job.
00:43Bieber looks dismayed at this reaction, which prevents him from starting his speech for an
00:47uncomfortably long time.
00:48It was his fourth time coming onto the stage that night, and people had grown fed up with
00:52him after he beat both Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars.
00:55I'm an artist, and I should be taken seriously.
00:57And all this other bull should not be spoken of.
01:01Number 9, Jesse James Confronted About Cheating.
01:04We're not talking about the 19th century outlaw, but instead the ex-husband of Sandra Bullock.
01:08Jesse James became a bit of a reality TV personality in the 2000s.
01:11Just the fact that, you know, I took a perfect marriage and a perfect wife and perfect life
01:18and stepmother and, like, threw it away because of my actions.
01:21It doesn't matter.
01:23It could have been a million.
01:25It doesn't, you know, bad is bad.
01:27His marriage fell apart in 2010 after multiple women said he'd had affairs with them.
01:30This led to him giving an embarrassing interview with Piers Morgan, explaining his side of
01:34the story.
01:35I don't think it was a decision I made, you know, 100% willingly or, like, vindictively
01:43or anything like that.
01:44It was a struggle, you know, and it made me feel worse than before it happened.
01:50It seemed to only make things worse for him, especially when Morgan pulled up an image of
01:54him doing a fascist salute.
01:55The main thing he proved during this interview was that Sandra Bullock definitely deserved a
01:59better partner.
02:00I grew up around people that were bigots and racists and, like, told myself that I
02:04would never, ever be that way no matter what.
02:08Number eight, Elon Musk's Cybertruck Fail.
02:10The Tesla Cybertruck is one of Musk's many attempts to make the cyberpunk aesthetic a
02:14reality.
02:14It was first unveiled in 2019 during a live Tesla presentation.
02:17To solve sustainable energy, we have to have a pickup truck.
02:22So I present to you the Cybertruck.
02:24Musk was excited to show off his allegedly unbreakable armored glass, so he asked the
02:29designer to pelt the window with heavy metal balls.
02:31Embarrassingly, both windows smashed because of this.
02:33It didn't go through.
02:37All right.
02:41Yeah, not bad.
02:43There's room for improvement.
02:44After the presentation's conclusion, Musk explained they broke because they'd apparently
02:48whacked the front door with a sledgehammer earlier.
02:50This didn't clarify why the back door broke, though, leaving many wondering whether Musk understands
02:54what unbreakable means.
02:55We want to be a leader in apocalypse technology.
02:57Number seven, David Icke on Wogan.
02:59In the 70s, Icke was an aspiring English footballer, then pivoted to sports journalism.
03:03The world is not necessarily going to end, but the earth is going to go through a series
03:09of geological changes that are necessary to make sure it doesn't end.
03:14This led to him becoming a respected broadcaster during the 80s, but he fell from grace in 1990.
03:19This was after a psychic told him some wild things, leading him to believe he was a son
03:23of the Godhead.
03:23In 1991, he came onto the talk show Wogan to discuss his new ideas.
03:27It's quite funny, really.
03:29You know, 2,000 years ago, had a guy called Jesus sat here and said these same things,
03:35you would still be laughing.
03:36It's really, really funny that we've not really moved on that much.
03:39His beliefs made the audience hysterical, completely shattering public respect for him.
03:43In the following years, things only got worse for Icke, as he began endorsing theories heavily
03:47criticized for anti-Semitism.
03:49I frankly don't care what anyone thinks.
03:52They have free will to make their own choices on what is said.
03:55I say wait and see.
03:58Number six, Iowa Debery owns Nikki Haley.
04:01American politician Nikki Haley once got into a lot of trouble after discussing the causes
04:04of the Civil War, then not mentioning slavery.
04:07I think the cause of the Civil War was basically how government was going to run.
04:11The freedoms and what people could and couldn't do.
04:14A few months later, she made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live.
04:16Host Iowa Debery from The Bear then made a passive-aggressive jab at Haley regarding her
04:21Civil War comments.
04:22It's a comment many believe she would never address, but she seemed to take the joke and
04:25move straight on.
04:26I was just curious, what would you say was the main cause of the Civil War?
04:30And do you think it starts with an S and ends with a lavery?
04:34Many criticized her for still never saying the word slavery, though.
04:37It's unclear if Haley knew it was coming, but her brief look of shock implies it could have
04:40taken her by surprise.
04:41I probably should have said that the first time.
04:43Number five, Mel Gibson gets roasted.
04:45Few comedians can match the savagery of Ricky Gervais.
04:48Jennifer Lawrence made the news when she demanded equal pay for women in Hollywood, and she received,
04:53yeah, overwhelming support from people everywhere.
04:59There were marches on the street with nurses and factory workers saying,
05:04how the hell can a 25-year-old live on 52 million?
05:07One of his favorite targets is Mel Gibson, whom he seems to roast every time he hosts
05:11the Golden Globes.
05:12Gibson became controversial when he was arrested in 2006, then went on an anti-Semitic rant
05:17at the police officer.
05:18Mel's forgotten all about it, apparently.
05:20That's what drinking does.
05:22Gervais refused to tiptoe around this scandal, instead choosing to own Gibson for his past blunders.
05:27It's not the only celebrity he targeted.
05:28He verbally roasted so many in 2020 that it's unlikely he'll ever come back.
05:32Martin Scorsese, the greatest living director, made the news for his controversial comments
05:37about the Marvel franchise.
05:39He said they're not real cinema, and they remind him of theme parks.
05:43I agree.
05:44Although I don't know what he's doing hanging around theme parks.
05:46He's not big enough to go on the rides.
05:48This is likely his decision rather than the organizers, according to his tweet saying he'd
05:52never return.
05:52Number four, Corden and Stewart.
05:54It's challenging for a celebrity to be detested in the same way Corden is.
05:57I really couldn't be more honored to be stood here talking to you now, and believe me,
06:02however shocked you are that I am doing this job, you will never be as shocked as I am.
06:07He first became famous for his show Gavin and Stacey, but became increasingly disliked
06:11due to his entitled behavior and allegedly fake personality.
06:14His attitude even rubbed icon Sir Patrick Stewart the wrong way.
06:17When you come up and present an award, just f***ing get on with it.
06:21This led to a massive drama between the pair at the Glamour Awards in 2010, after Stewart
06:25called him out for his hosting style, it was a cringe-inducing interaction to watch.
06:29People accuse Stewart of starting it, but if you see the full show, then you will agree
06:32that Corden didn't appear at all interested.
06:34It was so strange.
06:36It was so weird.
06:37Number three, Piers Morgan gets owned on Good Morning Britain.
06:39One of the UK's most divisive broadcasters is easily Piers Morgan.
06:43What's going on?
06:45Don't they know what you're like?
06:47You'll throw as many darts at the dartboard until you get the right ouch.
06:51But I actually do think they are ridiculous.
06:54He's known for his often confrontational interviews and outspoken opinions.
06:58From 2015 to 21, he hosted the morning show Good Morning Britain.
07:01He said a lot of contentious things on the show, like when he criticized Daniel Craig for
07:05wearing a baby carrier.
07:06Defend the papoose for me.
07:07I don't think it needs to be defended, to be honest, Piers.
07:10It does.
07:10A lot of people have been writing in saying they completely agree with me.
07:14Okay, fine.
07:15The adoption of the papoose by some men is the best example of emasculation I have ever seen.
07:20Soon after, Harry Hill was interviewed on the show and decided to pie Morgan live on
07:24air in retaliation for his comments.
07:26It was followed by one of the most awkward silences in TV history, but they all lightened
07:30up after a moment.
07:31By the end of the segment, everyone had pie on their face.
07:33No, Daddy, no!
07:36You've got to finish what you started!
07:38Number 2.
07:39Bill O'Reilly called out on The View.
07:41This live talk show has been around since the late 90s and has had a ton of scandals in
07:45its time.
07:45Look at you.
07:46Every time I come on air, she's like, how did this happen?
07:52Bill, I have a case of gas.
07:55That's all that's wrong.
07:56One of the most infamous was when political commentator Bill O'Reilly was interviewed in
08:002010.
08:00He said some things so contentious that Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar stormed straight off.
08:04So it outweighs about what Muslims kill this guy in.
08:11The topic was whether or not a mosque near the 9-11 memorial site should be allowed to
08:14remain.
08:15It became a challenging situation to defuse with everyone else disagreeing with O'Reilly's
08:19idea.
08:20Goldberg and Behar cooled down after a moment and returned.
08:22Now you apologize.
08:24You apologize.
08:25What?
08:25But that's not the issue.
08:26The issue is that it's inappropriate because of the context of what happened on 9-11.
08:33Surprisingly, it's not the only time Goldberg walked off her own show.
08:36Number 1.
08:37Kanye West interrupts Taylor Swift's VMA speech.
08:39One of the most discussed scandals in Music Awards history is easily the time when Kanye
08:43West hijacked the VMAs.
08:45I immediately knew in this situation that it was wrong and it wasn't a spectacle or just,
08:51you know, it's actually someone's emotions, you know, that I stepped on and it was very,
08:58it was just, it was rude.
09:00After Taylor Swift won the award for Best Female Video, West stormed on stage and expressed
09:04his outrage at the result.
09:05He famously proclaimed it should have been Beyonce's award, which got him nothing but booze from the
09:09audience.
09:09Yo Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the
09:16best videos of all time.
09:17That wasn't the end of the feud between the pair.
09:19Both have thrown shade at each other in song lyrics and on Twitter in the years since.
09:23West apologized shortly after, but he might not have been sincere given how much drama
09:27the two have shared since.
09:28But do you feel hard feelings about it, Taylor or not?
09:31You know, I'm not gonna say that I wasn't rattled by it.
09:34Were there any other times a celebrity was called out for their controversial behavior live
09:37on television, let us know in the comments section.
