00:00I'm recording this video because I want to talk about the damage that slut-shaming does.
00:05In Ireland, in recent weeks, we have had dozens of the bodies of toddlers
00:10exhumed from a septic tank in the west of Ireland
00:13because their mothers were slut-shamed.
00:16And up until 1992-1993, a woman who wasn't married, who was pregnant,
00:23was put into what was called a mother and baby home,
00:25basically a containment centre for women to give birth to children.
00:29The children would then be taken away and put into forced adoption.
00:32Now, that's just an example of what slut-shaming does.
00:36At the moment, people who are friends of mine on the Freedom Flotilla
00:39and are currently sailing to Gaza and have a lot of things to concentrate on
00:44with regards to the mission and are under constant attack by Zionist forces
00:48and by people around the world who are doing everything that they can
00:52to prevent our movement from succeeding in breaking the siege of Gaza
00:56have been slut-shaming people on the mission.
00:59To consider that men have sex, women have babies,
01:03and that's how degenerate society is,
01:06that they pick up on something that is merely a suggestion of an accusation
01:10because people are compassionate with each other,
01:13people hug each other in different cultures,
01:15people are close to each other and admire and respect their comrades,
01:18and that this is something that is picked up and vilified and used by people outside of the movement
01:24and indeed some people within the movement because of jealousy,
01:28because of their own agenda or criteria for how they expect humanity to behave,
01:34what's noble, what's not considered noble or appropriate between men, women,
01:39or people who are close together regardless of gender.
01:42Shame on them. Shame on them.
01:44We have a far bigger task.
01:45We have a far more noble focus in our hearts and together in solidarity with the people of Palestine.
01:53And how dare you use the compassion that we have against us
01:57as a way to fuel your own social media and your own propaganda
02:01and give fuel to Mossad to continue to perpetrate these allegations against the people in our movement
02:09who have the best of intentions at heart.
