00:00My unpopular Masters opinion is that past champion exemptions should end at 60.
00:04I love watching the nostalgia of seeing these guys play golf, like, you know, they turn up.
00:12I think the Masters could do something different with that, something earlier in the week with some sort of past
00:16champions thing, which would still give them an opportunity to be there.
00:19We don't need more pumpkin ceremony.
00:21If we had something at the start of the week, for example, they still are there, then they still have
00:26their ambassadorial role, they're still there for the champions dinner,
00:29they still maybe play practice rounds with some of the amateurs or debutants, try and give them a bit of
00:33insight, whatever else.
00:34I don't want to watch Vijay Singh playing golf every year and trying to make the cut when you could
00:42have.
00:42I mean, there are people that have missed out on this tournament that have maybe only a small chance,
00:48but they have a chance of winning because they're one of the top 60 players in the world, for example,
00:53or they've just narrowly missed out on a tournament where they finished second, where they could have potentially got a
00:57place for winning.
00:59And Vijay Singh is not going to win the Masters.
01:01So while I like seeing him and his achievement of winning, and this isn't about Vijay Singh, sorry Vijay.
01:06I feel like I'm really going in here.
01:08I've seen two-footed Vijay Singh.
01:09Just one of the names that came to mind.
01:11You're an old man, Vijay.
01:12But, you know, while he deserves the praise and the, you know, the admiration for his achievement of winning the
01:18Masters,
01:18which is a massive achievement, I think that you should bow out gracefully at a certain point
01:24and say there is now a new wave of potential players that could come and win this event,
01:30and we need to give you that spot to give you the chance to do it.
01:33Thank you very much.
