00:30Because youth are not only the leaders of tomorrow, they are the solution makers of today.
00:34What we see clearly both through data and field experience is that young people across the world are developing highly
00:40creative ideas in zero waste and circular economy.
00:44However, many of these ideas remain at the concept stage due to the lack of structured support mechanism needed for
00:50implementation.
00:51This is exactly why we aim to transform the zero waste approach from a policy framework into a true youth
00:56movement.
00:57In this context, under the umbrella of the zero waste forum, we are launching a new initiative.
01:02In the partnership with the Youth Diplomacy Association, we are establishing a new zero waste youth forum dedicated to empowering
01:09young people.
01:10This forum will not only bring youth together as participants, but will position them as decision makers, designers and implementers.
01:17And we are taking this initiative even further, to the global level.
01:21Within the framework of COP31, in collaboration with the Youth Diplomacy Association,
01:26I am pleased to announce that we will organize an international youth forum aimed at strengthening the role of young
01:32people in zero waste and climate action.
01:34This forum will enable youth to directly contribute to policy processes, connect their innovative project with global stakeholders,
01:42and most importantly, help transform their ideas into tangible impact.
01:46At the same time, we are building not only a platform for dialogue, but also a mechanism for action.
01:52Through the Zero Waste Youth Academy and Incubation Program, we will provide training to hundreds of young people,
01:59offer technical support to dozens of projects, and deliver financial mentorship support to selected initiatives,
02:05enabling them to be implemented on the ground.
02:08At the end of this journey, the youth-led initiatives will be showcased on the global stage at COP31,
02:13because we strongly believe that if we provide young people with the right tools, the right environment, and the right
02:20trust,
02:21we will not only reduce waste, we will also build a new economic model, a new culture of living, and
02:27a more just future.
02:29The step we are taking today is, in fact, the beginning of a much greater transformation,
02:34a transformation where zero waste becomes not just a habit, but a way of life,
02:39and where young people shape not only the future, but also the present.
02:43Together with the energy determination and creativity of youth,
02:47I believe we can build a cleaner, more sustainable, and more just future.
02:51Thank you.
