00:08This is a very large scene with four specific locations that we are currently addressing events
00:15this morning. This morning, officers responded to a shooting that occurred just after 6 a.m.
00:23In doing so, determined that this was a domestic call in nature.
00:27The responding officers located a crime scene here
00:31In the 300 block of West 79th Street
00:34And this is a rather extensive crime scene
00:37Spanning between two residences here
00:39There is also another residence on Harrison Street
00:42That is part of this crime scene as well
00:45Right now we have at least 10 individuals
00:48That were struck by gunfire last night
00:50In a domestic disturbance
00:53Eight of these individuals are deceased
00:57The ranges of the decedents are from one years of age
01:00To approximately 14 years of age
01:02All of the deceased in this case are juvenile
01:06The individual responsible once leaving this scene
01:11Performed a carjacking right here in close proximity
01:14To the corner of West 79th and Linwood
01:17At which point in time
01:19Shreveport Police Patrol officers got behind that vehicle
01:23And they chased it
01:24The vehicle was chased into Bossier Parish
01:27And at which point in time
01:29Shreveport Police officers did discharge their firearm
01:31And that individual is deceased
01:33We do believe him to be the only individual
01:36That fired gunshots at these locations here
01:39And it was a killing one there
