A lake holiday with the adults trying way too hard to look carefree. Mia is 12, stuck between parents who have been separated for years and the new partners stapled onto the family photo. Everyone’s playing nice. Mia isn’t. She keeps slipping into the Black Forest, chasing a secret routine that leads her to a mysterious boy. It’s the kind of connection that feels like breathing room. Until the morning of her birthday. Mia is gone. No heartfelt montage, no tidy explanation. The fragile family setup flips on its head, and the freedom Mia found starts looking an awful lot like a problem. The more the adults panic, the darker her choices feel.

Urlaub am See, Familien-Wir schaffen das. Mia (12) bekommt die schöne Fassade zwar mit, aber sie sieht vor allem eins: die Risse. Während ihre Eltern und deren neuen Partner so tun, als wäre alles leicht, zieht es Mia immer öfter in den Schwarzwald. Dort trifft sie einen geheimnisvollen Jungen, der ihre Welt kurz so aussehen lässt, als gäbe es Regeln, die nur für sie gelten. Dann kommt ihr Geburtstagmorgen. Mia ist weg.
