„Vaazha II“ ist keine saubere Biopic-Fantasie, sondern eher so ein Fangemeinde-Entlastungsversuch: Eine Clique junger Außenseiter versucht, mit Freundschaft, Ehrgeiz und permanentem Chaos irgendwie erwachsen zu werden. Die Jungs wollen was erreichen. Aber natürlich kollidieren Motivation und Realität ständig, weil Selbstfindung selten pünktlich kommt und sowieso keiner den Plan liest.

Der Film setzt auf Humor, der nicht immer brav sein will, und auf Momente, in denen die Stimmung kippt, obwohl alle eigentlich nur weiter posten, weiter reden und weiter machen wollen. Modernes Thema inklusive, für alle, die Social Media nicht als Hobby, sondern als Lebensraum behandeln. Kurz: ziemlich laut, ziemlich direkt, und überraschend sympathisch, wenn es ernst wird.
