Los Angeles, a forgettable diner, and one guy who looks like he arrived on the wrong timeline. For about ten minutes, it’s just random patrons and small talk. Then the “man from the future” shows his hand. He doesn’t need a crew of heroes. He needs a very specific combination of irritated, mismatched people. Like, the kind of group you’d normally keep out of your neighborhood, not on a secret night mission.

Because tonight’s assignment is simple. Too simple. Save the world with a one-night run against a terminal threat that sounds suspiciously like an AI problem you would never approve in real life. Still, it keeps moving, keeps twisting, and keeps asking the same question: who thought this was a good idea?

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die has fun with the idea that survival comes with instructions. Unfortunately, nobody reads them.

Ein unscheinbares Diner in Los Angeles, später Abend, und plötzlich steht da ein Mann, der offenbar aus der Zukunft aus Versehen in die Gegenwart gekippt ist. Erst wirkt das wie ein ganz normaler Abend. Dann aber stellt er die falsche Frage, am falschen Ort, zur falschen Zeit. Denn er will keine Freunde. Er will eine ziemlich spezielle Gruppe von Leuten, die so gar nicht nach Team aussehen. Was folgt, ist eine nächtliche Mission, die sich nach „eine Sache, die sofort schiefgeht“ anfühlt. Trotzdem klappt’s erstaunlich oft, bis man merkt, dass Zufall hier nur ein schicker Marketingbegriff ist.

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die ist dieser chaotische Mix aus Sci-Fi und „Okay, was machen wir jetzt?“. Und ja, der Titel war wohl nicht als Witz gemeint.
