Valentine’s Day birthday. That’s basically a lifetime subscription to red hearts, love-themed everything, and awkward small talk. Gina hates it. So when her boyfriend Andrew hands her a “prezzie” over breakfast, it sounds like romance. A voucher. A trip to a Greek island. Except Gina’s mom Wendy drops a little bombshell: Andrew also plans to propose while they’re there. Because why keep the calendar simple.

So Gina does what any sane person would do. She schemes. She tries to keep the proposal from landing on February 14, recruiting help from the vacation chaos around her, including Johnny and Mickey. Expect frantic detours, petty sabotage, and the uncomfortable realization that postponing one big moment might not fix the real problem. Also, yes. The movie knows how ridiculous the whole setup is.

Geburtstag am Valentinstag. Klar, dass das zur Dauerwerbesendung für rote Herzen verkommen muss. Gina hat die Schnauze voll. Und dann macht ihr Freund Andrew das Ganze auch noch richtig schön kitschig. Morgens bekommt sie einen Gutschein, der sie auf eine griechische Insel lotsen soll. Romantische Kulisse, ja. Aber ausgerechnet dort soll es auch krachen. Denn wie Ginas Mutter Wendy ausplaudert, steht angeblich ein Heiratsantrag im Programm. Gina versucht also, die Uhr irgendwie gegen den 14. Februar zu drehen. Und sie ist nicht allein: Johnny und Mickey helfen vor Ort als Mitstreiter. Gemeinsam wird gebremst, vertagt, sabotiert. Nur eine Frage bleibt übrig. Ist Andrew überhaupt der Richtige, oder liebt sie den Plan, bis er schiefgeht, mehr als ihn?
