00:00I've tested all the latest hybrids in 2026 and here are my favourites.
00:04Right, starting with the best off the tee.
00:05Now, honourable mention for the Cobra King Tech, this thing was incredibly fast,
00:09but it was pipped just by the TaylorMade QI4D.
00:12This is a low-spinning, ball-speed monster.
00:15It was my lowest spinning hybrid on test.
00:17If you're looking to use a hybrid mostly off the tee, I would steer you in this direction.
00:20Next up is best off the deck.
00:22If you're predominantly going to use your hybrid off the ground,
00:25I would steer you towards a couple of hybrids.
00:26First being honourable mention for the Cobra Optim,
00:28the launch and spin profile of this club definitely suits those who tend to want to hit it off the
00:34ground.
00:34It's got quite high launch, quite high spin, so it's going to give you really good stopping power into the
00:38greens.
00:39But it was pipped just by the Callaway Quantum Mac.
00:42Now, this club had, in 19 degrees of loft, had the highest launch in my testing.
00:46And you've also got this step sole here, so it minimises the amount of club that interacts with the grounds.
00:51If you want maximum amount of forgiveness from your hybrid, there are two that stood out.
00:54First being the Ping G440.
00:56This was incredibly consistent in terms of ball speed and distance.
00:59Regardless of where I was hitting it on the face, especially low on the face.
01:02But there was a standout winner, and it's the Callaway Quantum Max OS.
01:06You could throw a small blanket over where the shots I hit finished with this.
01:09It was incredibly forgiving.
01:11A nice neutral ball flight, actually.
01:13And just, you know, it gave me really good consistency.
01:16A nice, big, chunky profile behind the ball here.
01:18If you pushed me for the one I'll be putting in my bag this year,
01:21it probably would be the Callaway Apex UW.
01:24I love the larger shape of it, really fast, very good out of the rough as well with this sort
01:28of drop leading edge.
01:30And very forgiving as well.
01:31So it ticks all the boxes that I would look for from a hybrid, and that's the one I'll be
01:35putting in my bag.
