Liz and Malcolm think they booked romance. A secluded cabin for a romantic anniversary weekend. Nice. Then Malcolm suddenly has to go back to the city, like the whole “let’s relax” plan was optional. Liz is left alone, and the place immediately decides to stop being a vacation rental. Something dark shows up, the kind of presence you don’t really want to name because it sounds too ridiculous to be real. The cabin starts revealing the haunting secrets it’s been sitting on, and Liz has to confront what the property has been hiding all along. It’s not reinventing horror, but it does understand one thing: isolation is scarier when you can’t even blame bad luck. Rating-wise it’s a mixed bag, but the vibe is properly unsettling.

Liz und Malcolm wollen einfach nur ein romantisches Jubiläumswochenende in einer abgelegenen Hütte. Klingt nach Frieden, ist aber eher der Auftakt zu einem „Warum machen wir das überhaupt“-Abend. Malcolm ist plötzlich wieder in der Stadt. Super Timing, falls man Angst mag. Liz bleibt allein zurück. Und dann passiert das Ding, das man nicht aussprechen will, weil es sich anhört wie ein schlechter Albtraum-Plot. Die Hütte zeigt ihr, was dort wirklich passiert ist. Nicht als schicke Rückblende, sondern als düstere Präsenz, die Geheimnisse aus dem Holz, dem Boden und der Stimmung selbst herausdrückt. Kanada macht’s, mit solider Genre-Wut und einem kleinen Hang zum Unbehagen.
