Kaum ist Harper mit ihrem Baby wieder auf dem Hof, auf dem ihre Familie schon immer alles „im Griff“ hatte, kippt die Stimmung. Wochenbett, Hormone, Schlafmangel. Klingt erstmal nach realistischem Chaos. Dann merkt man schnell: Da ist etwas, das nicht nur an der Tür klopft, sondern hinter ihr wartet.

„The Beldham“ macht aus der häuslichen Idylle einen Albtraum mit Tradition. Das Monster ist nicht einfach nur Kulisse, es passt sich dem Raum an. Jeder Flur fühlt sich ein bisschen länger an. Jede Nacht wird zur Abstimmung: Vertraust du deiner Vernunft, oder deiner Familie mit ihren alten Regeln?

Wer Horror mag, der sich wie Verzweiflung anfühlt und nicht wie Jump-Scare-Krawall, sollte das hier ernst nehmen. Auch wenn „Bauernhof und Fluch“ natürlich genau so absurd ist, wie es klingt.
