The new Opel Astra and the new Opel Astra Sports Tourer celebrated their world premiere at the Brussels Motor Show in early January, and the updated and further refined versions of the compact bestseller have been available to order since February. Best of all: The new Astra – designed, developed, and built at Opel's headquarters in Rüsselsheim – boasts innovative technologies, even greater comfort, and an even more distinctive appearance, yet Opel has maintained its attractive price point. There's even more car for your money: The Opel Astra Electric is available from €37,990, and the Astra Sports Tourer Electric from €39,490 (all prices are manufacturer's suggested retail price including VAT), but with a 58 kWh battery, it offers greater storage capacity and up to 454 kilometers (according to WLTP1) of locally emission-free range. Entry into the Astra world is possible with the 107 kW (145 hp) electrified hybrid, starting at just €32,990.
