00:06in the overall picture, loose change. We've had 14 years of defence spending falling under
00:12the Conservatives to the point we haven't even got an operational Navy now. Promise after
00:17promise from Keir Starmer that they would up defence spending, but to date they've done
00:21nothing. In fact, all they're doing is saying to the MOD, you must actually cut. We need
00:27a radical rethink about all of this. And I have to say, George Robertson, the former
00:31Labour cabinet minister, former boss of NATO, someone that I know and I respect, he's made
00:36the point that with a massively spiralling welfare bill, we have to choose. Do we spend
00:42more money on welfare or do we spend money on defence? And frankly, given how dangerous
00:46the world is, I think we've got no option.
