BRP Sierra Madre soldiers refute China's denial on the use of cyanide in fishing activities around Ayungin Shoal on April 14, 2026. They also said that Chinese fishermen frequently circled around the disputed area and only went away when they saw Navy personnel approaching. Troops also explained why Chinese fishermen were not apprehended despite the confiscation bottles of cyanide.
