À peine une semaine après l’annonce de la sortie de leur nouvel album "Reality Awaits", les Strokes se produisaient ce week-end à Coachella…  Mais la véritable tête d’affiche de la soirée restait Justin Bieber, et le contraste entre les publics était clairement perceptible. Pourtant, sur scène, le groupe a enchaîné pendant une heure ses plus grands hymnes, dont "Last Nite", entrecoupés par l’humour inimitable de Julian Casablancas.  C’est ainsi que, non sans une pointe d’ironie, il a lancé : "On est ravis d’ouvrir pour Justin Bieber !".
