As part of the Pakistan NextGen Hospitality Challenge (PNHC) 2026 – Season 2, students from the Tourism Economy & Destination Innovation category had the opportunity to engage in a high-level interactive session with the Director General of the Walled City of Lahore Authority and the Managing Director of the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP). This significant engagement aimed to bridge academic learning with national tourism policy and destination development practices.
During the meeting, students gained valuable insights into Pakistan’s evolving tourism landscape, heritage conservation efforts, destination branding strategies, and the economic impact of tourism development. The distinguished officials shared their vision for sustainable tourism growth, highlighting key initiatives focused on cultural preservation, infrastructure development, and international tourism promotion.
