00:06most powerful, modern and the best alternative to Internet Download Manager.
00:11So the best part about this software is that it comes with no adware, no malware and it is 100
00:17% free.
00:18It has lots of features which may not be found in Internet Download Manager but I have not used Internet
00:25Download Manager for ages.
00:26So to get Free Download Manager all you have to do is go to this link and hit download button,
00:33hit save and your download will be starting.
00:36If you are using another software like Mac OS, Android, Linux you can get Free Download Manager for this as
00:45well.
00:46But this Free Download Manager is not available on iOS so make sure you keep it in mind.
00:53Well I will also be showing you how to download and use Free Download Manager Android in my next video.
01:00So after you have downloaded the software, simply open it up and the installer will continue.
01:08I am using the install for our users, say yes to the prompts and the installer will begin the installation
01:15process.
01:15I already installed the Free Download Manager that is why it is showing me that it was already available.
01:22But still I am installing it again just to demonstrate its use and purpose.
01:29Ok now let's wait for the installation to complete.
01:32And now Free Download Manager is now installed on my computer.

01:47And also before using it I highly recommend that you change these settings that I always do.

01:59And change these settings to get the maximum download speed possible.

02:14So I am going with the classic theme.
02:18Ok so after this we need to download the browser integration extension.
02:25So if you are using Microsoft Edge you can hit the Edge button right here and download.
02:31And it will open up Edge and you will get the extension immediately.
02:35But in my case I am not going to be using Microsoft Edge.
02:39If you are using Google Chrome or Firefox those options are available for you as well.
02:44Also I am using Brave browser so I have to go with the Brave option and hit add to Brave.
02:51This extension will download and now whenever you start downloading stuff on your browser.
02:58It will automatically go into the free download manager and your download will continue.
03:02However if you do not want to use it you can simply click on the extension and pause the downloads.
03:08Or enable if you do not want to download the specific website.
03:13Just pause downloads and stop downloads.
03:15The options are always in the extensions.
03:17So in the traffic limits I actually go with the unlimited option to get the maximum download speed.
03:24If your internet is struggling you can change it or limit your download.
03:31But number of connections I always go with maximum.
03:35I will go with 50,000.
03:37I don't know why it just makes me feel good.
03:40So in number of servers you can only go as high as 20.
03:46So I go with the maximum number as always.
03:51For simultaneous download I prefer downloading one at a time.
03:55So I change it to one.
03:57But this is your own choice.
03:59But my favorite settings are this one which I am doing right now.
04:04This is the optimization for maximum speed possible.
04:08So change it as you prefer.
04:11It does have remote access but I am not going to show you this time.
04:15You can download from your phones and it will automatically download on your laptop.

04:27Now let me show you how you can use it.
04:29First of all let's download something.
04:32I am downloading windows 11 for this.
04:34Because it is a huge file and downloading it is a pain.
04:39Ok so whenever you do this.
04:44Selecting the windows 11 ISO image file.
04:47Let's see how my FDM catches this download and.
04:51We should also compare the speed.
04:55However it does have a very specific feature which I really love about free download manager is that.
05:02It helps you if your connection is unstable or something is wrong with your internet connection.
05:07If you download stop you can actually re-download it without having to re-download the whole file.
05:13Let me show you what I mean.
05:15Ok this is how you can download it.
05:18If your download is failed you can simply go back to the link and download again.
05:22You will be given the option to download and skip.
05:24I recommend if you press the skip button it will automatically resume the download which was failed in the previous
05:30session or whatever.
05:33Ok this is how you can use free download manager.
05:35But what if you do not want to use free download manager and use the browser's local downloader.
05:41Simply pause the download and it will not appear in the free download manager.
05:48And your browser will download it with its own download manager or things like that.
05:54And download is not beginning as you can see.
05:56This is very slow.
05:58That is why I use free download manager instead of the browser's own downloader.
06:04Sometimes the internet is slow and it is not working.
06:06Let me just clear everything and download it again by refreshing the page.
