00:00I was astonished at the escalating tensions we saw develop over the weekend between Israel and Turkey.
00:07Just such a direct exchange of hostilities on social media between Turkey's President Erdogan and Prime Minister Netanyahu.
00:16What does it mean to you that we have one of the largest armies in NATO making such searing threats
00:22to Israel during this conflict?
00:24Yeah, I mean, I think there's a clever maneuvering by facets of the Israel lobby, frankly.
00:31You know, there's a groundswell on the non-interventionist right, on the new right, among younger members of the party,
00:37whatever you want to call it, against NATO.
00:39And so you're going to see panels, I think, in the 2020s, why it's, you know, foresighted, we're based to
00:46leave NATO.
00:46But the only reason we're leaving NATO is so we can invade Turkey.
00:50That is obviously not why we should leave NATO.
00:53That is obviously not why we should cut back our support for that organization.
00:57But I think there are people that are going to try to manipulate us into these new wars.
01:01And I think it's very clear that, you know, once the Iran portfolio is done and dusted, major if, the
01:09Israeli hardliners are going to move on to demanding, demanding that the U.S. helps them in a new war
01:16or at least a new hawkishness towards Istanbul.
