00:56What is needed is a model of social, political and economic participation that can include popular movements and invigorate local,
01:05national and international governing structures with that torrent of moral energy that springs from the excluded in the building of
01:15a common destiny.
01:19And on his visit to Algeria, Pablo XIV went to the great mosque of Alger's Hama al-Hasair on Monday
01:26during his first apostolic journey to Africa.
01:29The historic visit marked the first time a pope has set foot on Algerian soil and visited this iconic place
01:34of worship, which is the largest mosque in Africa and the third largest in the world.
01:38At the mosque, the pope emphasized the need to build bridges between Christians and Muslims calling for forgiveness and reconciliation
01:45amid global tensions.
